Historia
Miss Lillian Harwood has lived much of her life alone in a gilded cage, longing for love and companionship. When an artist offers her pretty promises and begs her to pose for a scandalous portrait, Lily doesn't hesitate...until the lying libertine leaves her in disgrace. With the painting now public, Lily has no choice but to turn to the one man who might save her from ruin.

I wanted to love it...but I don't.

Breathy narrator. Yech.
Revisado: 11-03-16
I wish I had just read the book. The narrator's breathy, nasal speech was obnoxious and made the story seem campy.

Historia
Diana Gabaldon’s fans will be delighted to find Jamie and Claire as spirited and endearing as ever in this fourth installment of this magnificent saga. Romance, history, and time travel blend once again as the couple builds a new life together in the wilderness of pre–Revolutionary America.

Wonderful story but not the best so far
Revisado: 07-06-16
The rabbit holes! I love the research that goes into producing the story, but I'm not sure that the thirty minute explanation of punnet squares and blood typing nor the content descriptions of little Jemmy's nappies really added to the plot. I found myself mentally dozing several times.

Historia
Diana Gabaldon's fans will be delighted to find Jamie and Claire as spirited and endearing as ever in this fourth installment of this magnificent saga. Twice Claire has used an ancient stone circle to travel back to the 18th century. The first time she found love with a Scottish warrior but had to return to the 1940s to save their unborn child. The second time she reunited with her lost love but had to leave behind the daughter that he would never see. Now Brianna, from her 1960s vantage point, has found a disturbing obituary and will risk everything in an attempt to change history.
