Historia
After the Final War, after the appearance of the Bug aliens and their enforced peace, Shining Smith is still alive, still doing business from the old scrapyard bequeathed to her by her father. But Shining is now something more than human. And the scrapyard is no longer just a scrapyard, but a place full of secrets. This life she has built, while empty, is predictable and safe. Until the only friend left from her previous life shows up, dead, in the back of a scrapped Tesla warplane. Clutched in her cold fingers is a note to Shining - warning her of a coming attack.

Great read, the plot is compact and full of action; yet left plenty of room for the next story arc.

If I would have known
Revisado: 05-19-16
Would you try another book from Mary B. Morrison and/or the narrators?
Yes. Let me start by saying I listen to all three books in the series and I must say Book One was by far the best. The drama, suspense, twist and depth of the Book One was intense. Book Two was actually not memorable and Book Three was annoying. But I'll admit based on Book One I would and will read another book by Ms. Morrison.
As for the narration I dislike how the narrators read sections of the book instead of reading the actual characters parts. The narrators themselves, I felt, didn't have enough inflection in their voice and I couldn't hear much of a variance between the characters portrayals.
What could Mary B. Morrison have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
The plot dragged and for the most part predictable. This is in stark contrast to Book One. In addition, the characters seem to lose their depth, especially Chicago.
How could the performance have been better?
As stated before, the narration I dislike how the narrators read sections of the book instead of reading the actual characters parts. The narrators themselves, I felt, didn't have enough inflection in their voice and I couldn't hear much of a variance between the characters portrayals.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
SPOILER ALERT: There is room for a fourth book, assuming the gentleman in Dubai cares about "losing" $50M. Other than that... as for a reaction... relief when it ended.... (I did want to see the characters through till the end, hence me reading Book Three after the let down in Book Two.)

Historia
Stephen R. Covey's book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, has been a top seller for the simple reason that it ignores trends and pop psychology for proven principles of fairness, integrity, honesty, and human dignity. Celebrating its 15th year of helping people solve personal and professional problems, this special anniversary edition includes a new foreword and afterword written by Covey that explore whether the 7 Habits are still relevant and answer some of the most common questions he has received over the past 15 years.

A must read

Any additional comments?
This book is an obvious must read, as it really does encourage an evaluation into how we approach our goals, dreams and life in general. I'll admit, it took me a while to "get into" the book, mostly due to the "bland" voice of the narrator and the extensive number of examples used to illustrate the principles outlined. But once i grew accustom to the presentation style... and once the "habits" were discussed... the book came together to provide some much appreciated and useful knowledge toward personal growth... It is a book I will listen to a few times so that I may apply the principles learned.

Any additional comments?
Knowing the five love languages is great, but this book really provides insight as to how to apply and how we experience them in our lives. It provides you with an opportunity to take inventory in your life and learn how we view the "love" we share with others and how we receive love from others.

A well written adventure, for most of the novel, you will feel like you are right there. Spoiler alert, no real twist... The only disappointing part.
