What would have made Border Fire better?

I just wish that these stories didn't lend themselves to so much stereotyping, I like to read a story where the woman have some intelligence, all these woman are just frustrating. The only reason they seem to be such a big deal is their physical attributes, and that's about it.

the leading lady I just like to see some other quality in the leading ladies than their beauty.

What would have made At Peace better?

A believable leading person. in this case, on the one hand Violet has managed to be married to a great guy, brought up two children and managed, and the other hand she lets herself to be bullied by everyone, including her children, has no self control, is governed by her sex! Knows only 3 word and speaks them one at the time, providing she has not frozen! it is just not believable

What could Kristen Ashley have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

write a different story all together

this story was frustrating to listen to, I found myself constantly angry, I make a point of listening to all books that I buy, this one was a real struggle

I just love the style of her writing, the lanugage used, there is not much the stories themselves I don't think, you would think noblity did nothing than call on eachother and gossip, well may be that is what they did, who knows

Yes for sure. the only trouble is that when the narrator is a man, he ends up messing up the woman's voices and if a woman is narrating then men's voices are messed up but still and all together it was a reasonable job. not that I could do any better I might add.

It was just a little too unreal, trying to apply today's morality to those days culture, and it didn't work.
