Hated the Narrator and Story

I tried listening to this bestseller but had to return it as boring and difficult. Narrator reads win mixed english which is annoying. Story was uninteresting.

VERY Bad Story

The story MIGHT interest devout Catholics but no one else. Not being a Catholic, I found huge portion of the 1/3 I listened to, to be meaningless and irrelevant. I could not go further with this story but abandoned it forever. I am returning the book. Awful story!

Great Read ... Poor Ending

Grisham's books are very good reads. My only problem with this one was the ending. The actions of the Judge made no sense and were not in keeping with his personality or his normal intelligent plotting and planning. I could have come up with a better ending. I can't go into details because I don't want to ruin the read for others.

Slow ... slow ... slow

Great idea but this story moves was too slow with too little action. It reads like the author took a short story and stretched it into a book. Much of the read feels like "fill in" waiting for the meat of the story go get there. Get on with it. I got bored and stopped listening about 2/3 of the way through. Also didn't like any of the characters. Do not recommend.

Horrible Story

The story line is totally disgusting. I could not finish it. This is my last audiobook by Harlan Coben. Scott Brick was great as usual.

One of the dumbest books I have ever listened to.

This book was extremely repetitive with gruesome killing after killing. One would have been enough for me. Way too long. How many time do you need to find a bloated body described in great detail? Again, once was enough for me but instead I got 15 or 20 over and over and over. The ending with the escapee shootout was especially dumb and pointless. Doubt I will read another book by him.

Horrible Narrator

I tried listening to this book but was totally turned off by the narrator and the story. Being a Non-Catholic I could not get into all the Pope and Cardinal stuff. After a few chapters, I abandoned the book and returned it for credit.

One of Grisham's best

The Testament is one of Grisham's best novels (as opposed to Camino Island which was awful). I avoided Grisham's books for several years after reading Camino Island but decided to listen to The Testiment. It was excellent. Good story, well written, and good narration. Unexpected finish. I guess I will try another of his books.

Way too long

That into the this book was pretty good until you get about halfway through. From that point however it gets very tedious with repetitive battles that seem never to reach a point or conclusion. About half the book could have been left out going faster to the conclusion with very little loss. I couldn't wait to finish it because I was so bored.
