Historia
Scattered across a continent, three dragon siblings are among the last of a dying breed -the final hope for their species' survival. After fighting a war that cost each of them kingdom and land, friends and family, honor and glory, they have removed themselves from the troubles of the world. But the order they fought to establish is falling apart. Ancient sorceries have been awakened. Dragons battle dragons. And men are taking up arms against their winged overlords. The author of the national best-selling Vampire Earth series presents the fiery conclusion to his epic dragon saga.

A better ending than I expected!
Revisado: 11-02-21
After reading some of the reviews for this title, I was worried that I wouldn’t like the ending or that it wouldn’t find a satisfactory conclusion. I had nothing to worry about!
This final installment delivers on the same plot as the last three novels. Though very far removed from the first two, this makes for an excellent and epic conclusion to a series that has grown near and dear to my heart.
The performance, as always 10/10 HYAAA David Drummond, HYAAA

Historia
My name is Opal Yong-ae, and I’m a Cleaner. At least, I used to be. Thanks to the supernatural bad luck that turns everything I do against me, these days I’m more of a walking disaster. Getting rid of this curse is the only way to get my life back. Unfortunately, dragon magic is every bit as sneaky and deadly as the monsters behind it, and just as hard to beat.

Another dip into the DFZ
Revisado: 10-13-19
I’d like to preface this review by saying that I haven’t read the heartstrikers series, but I’m still a fan of these books.
Part-time Gods delivers on all of the same world building goodness and fun takes on the genre, while giving us a little more to chew on.
I’ll start my complementing Emily Woo Zeller! She’s come to be my favorite female actor. She plays a comfortable and believable voice for Opal, while still selling me on burly cyber heads. Great work, I look forward to hearing more.
I’d also like to say that the setting remains the main draw of the series. While set in a familiar genre to some, the DFZ brings new angles and more interesting spaces with each book. I can’t wait to see what else we learn in the third book.
The characters interpersonal relationships get to shine. If you were left wanting more interaction between our heroes during the action packed first book, this one has you covered.
That all being said, I did find the end to be a little hectic. Without detailing any spoilers, I’ll say that it felt as though conflict was added to the back end of this story. Not that it’s an uncommon practice to introduce the themes of the next book at the end of the current one, It just seemed like characters were leaning out of usual behavior to reach that conflict.
Overall, excellent listening experience, and my issues could be addressed in the next book.

The beginning of something magical!
Revisado: 01-26-17
Where does The Dragons of Dorcastle rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I've listened to around 20 audio books (the other 5 books in this series included) and this book is truly a gem. MacLeod Andrews is among the greats when it comes to narration and greatly compliments Campbell's writing
What did you like best about this story?
The concept seemed interesting at first, but as you begin digging into this story it really catches you. My favorite thing about the story was that it delivered exactly what I was expecting out of a YA SF book, but added so much more.
Have you listened to any of MacLeod Andrews’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've only listened to his work on the Pillars of Reality series, but he's excellent. I feel like he's still getting a feel for the characters in this one, and only improves as you go.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed out loud several times during this book. I wouldn't say that it's overtly funny, but the sly humor definitely got to me.
Any additional comments?
If you're on the fence about this book, get it. The series is absolutely worth your time and money.
