Historia
Literary historian Kevin Birmingham follows Joyce's years as a young writer, his feverish work on his literary masterpiece, and his ardent love affair with Nora Barnacle, the model for Molly Bloom. Joyce and Nora socialized with literary greats like Ezra Pound, Ernest Hemingway, T. S. Eliot and Sylvia Beach. Their support helped Joyce fight an array of anti-vice crusaders while his book was disguised and smuggled, pirated and burned in the United States and Britain.

Historia
When the Dalai Lama paid a visit to Emory University, he offered an introductory lecture to Tibetan Buddhism. The lecture is not exactly what you’d normally get in the university classroom. The talk is not entirely linear. And he spends some time speaking in English, then speaks in his native tongue (with the help of an interpreter). But, he can talk about Buddhism with the authority that few authors can, and there’s a reason audiences come to see him in droves.

Understated Excelence

What did you love best about Dalai Lama: Introduction to Buddhism?
Expected more of a book presentation but appreciated the unpretentious presentation. This will be listened to multiple times, distilling the ideas & plucking the pearls...
What other book might you compare Dalai Lama: Introduction to Buddhism to and why?
This is a casual talk to a group of followers. Not quite a Sermon on the Mount but certainly definite kernels that will grow with further audits.

Historia
Great-looking abs are more than just a way to support the mirror industry. In fact, strong abs and flat stomachs are the ultimate indicator of overall health for both men and women. Great abs will help you live longer, sleep better, prevent back pain, and significantly improve your sex life! (And, hey, they don't look half-bad in the mirror, either.) Unfortunately, you could spend years on starvation diets and extreme exercise programs that never unearth those elusive stomach muscles.

Sounds Like it Really Works

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
A quick, easy listen. Covers a lot, but pin-points clearly what you need to hear!
Would you recommend The Abs Diet to your friends? Why or why not?
This a seems to be a balanced approach that provides rational explanation for recommendations with "testimony" of realized success.
What aspect of Eric Conger’s performance would you have changed?
Presentation sounded a bit like a safety or sales training video, but over all, had great pace and tone.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Close. I listened while driving long distance, several interruptions and over night turned off.
Other wise, contiguous listening.
Any additional comments?
Goofy music was unnecessary and the "Audible" hope you enjoyed tag is silly and poor quality, cheapening the product.

Good First Time Listen
Revisado: 02-21-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Rich Dad Poor Dad to be better than the print version?
Ironic that the author remarks within the work how he does not like a lecture, and this presentation was an excellent Audible lecture... listening was a great way to hear the author's emphasis, getting more from the ideas he has to share; I don't agree with all that he presents, as moral philosophy, but the perspective and reality of what he has to say makes an impression and makes one consider presented theories.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Rich Dad Poor Dad?
The whole narrative conversation, especially from the beginning, formulating motivation and premise for education.
Which scene was your favorite?
The initial impact of ideas with "Rich Dad".
What did you learn from Rich Dad Poor Dad that you would use in your daily life?
The whole focused perspective and understanding of defined asset centered investment.
Any additional comments?
Will want to listen again and perhaps seek out the workbook?
