Historia
What if diet could regulate every one of the most promising strategies for combating the effects of aging? That is just what Dr Michael Greger, founder of NutritionFacts.org, found when he dove into the top peer-reviewed anti-aging medical research. It turns out we don’t need Big Pharma to keep us feeling young – we already have the tools. Nitty gritty info
Revisado: 12-28-23
I loved hearing about the detailed, scientific workings of our bodies and how what we eat affects us on a cellular and molecular level. What a treasure trove of valuable information. Everyone should pay attention to the life-changing info that is presented here. Great job, Dr Greger.
This is not a drawback, but I also wanted to mentio n that Dr Greger speaks incredibly fast, but luckily the speed can be adjusted,

Gripping read
Revisado: 07-09-23
I don't enjoy writing reviews and only do so because the option to just leave a star review has been removed, and only if a particular author just can't be ignored, which is the case here. Don't even hesitate. This book is excellent.

Introducing a new translation of Laozi’s classic work that makes the intimidating approachable and the complex comprehensible. Translated by best-selling author Ken Liu and read by acclaimed actor B.D. Wong, this new take on the Dao De Jing speaks directly to the sensibilities of a modern audience. Liu dispenses with footnotes and the granular details of academic debate in favor of presenting Laozi’s invaluable writing as clearly and colorfully as possible.

Historia
The Catenan Republic—the Hierarchy—may rule the world now, but they do not know everything. I tell them my name is Vis Telimus. I tell them I was orphaned after a tragic accident three years ago, and that good fortune alone has led to my acceptance into their most prestigious school. I tell them that once I graduate, I will gladly join the rest of civilized society in allowing my strength, my drive, and my focus—what they call Will—to be leeched away and added to the power of those above me, as millions already do. As all must eventually do.

One of the best ever!
Revisado: 05-30-23
I can only marvel at the imagination and creativity of the author. And the writing is a joy to experience. For me this was the best book in recent memory. The 28 hours felt so short. I didn't want it to end. Luckily the story will continue. I'm champing at the bit for book 2. The narrator was absolutely fantastic!

Historia
Cal's "honeymoon" didn't start off quite how he'd planned. For starters, he was heading somewhere he didn't actually want to go. And secondly, he was going alone and unmarried. He had no idea that his first visit to New York City would also land him in the middle of a domestic terror attack, forcing him to flee Manhattan in a desperate bid to survive. This was no ordinary terror attack. The Movement, in a misguided attempt to seize political control of the USA, unwittingly invited the destruction of their homeland.

I agree with another reviewer here with regard to having to leave a written review, instead of just a star rating. Until recently this was still possible. I think more people would leave a star rating if a full review was not compulsory, giving a better representation of the audience's opinion.
