This is as useless as it gets. The text appears to be AI generated with superfluous and repetitive text at the end of each chapter. There absolutely no examples to put the information into context. You're much better off sticking with the free resources on the web and using a text reader on the FINRA material. Anything is better than this...

This is one of the very few times when an author can actually narrate his own books better than anyone else.

There is very little new/useful information here for the "executive" level interview, it's a rehash of typical information you'd find elsewhere. For example, the author spend a paltry 2:30 talking about the offer and even then, it's an example of how the offer was accepted...

The narrator is terrible, even at 2.5x speed, it was a chore to finish the book...

Do yourself a favor and skip this one. The plot holes are just so big and obvious, it was a huge disappointment. Narration was decent.

It was great to read another Gabriel Allon book without political commentary. I'm glad Mr. Silva saw the light. Looking forward to the next one, hopefully some from the old team like Eli can make a guest appearance :-)

I am a big fan of Gabriel and this is one of the best so far. Too bad I finished it so quickly and now have to wait for a full year for the next one...

George Guidall is flawless as usual.

I really enjoy the Luke Stone series but this one it was a challenge to go through because of the mediocre narration. I actually had to speed up then iration so I could get through the end of the book. I will not be buying any more of these books if the narrator doesn't change

Another great Allon novel

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 07-29-08

As with every audio book, the narrator makes a big difference. Phil Gigante has narrated several of Daniel Silva's books and aside from some idiomatic/language details, he does a great job. He articulates well, speaks at a good pace and changes his tone appropriately. Please remember, this is not a production, or a radio show. You have to keep paying attention to the plot and who is involved in the conversation.

Daniel Silva keeps things rolling at a good pace and as usual, his descriptions of places, people and events are very detailed. I've been following Gabriel Allon since his first visit to Vienna and have purchased every book since then. I can't wait for the next installment in the series.

Not quite there yet...

Here are the three things you have to deal with in this audio book:
1) The narrator has a different delivery than some of the others. It needs some getting used to.
2) The book is unnecessarily long and even though I don't like anyone deciding how to abridge my titles, this one could have benefited from a few cuts.
3) Most of all however, this book needed an editor. The phrase "At length" is used innumerable times and there are gems such as "The evidence was evident"...

As for the story, it's convoluted enough with quite a few surprises and bodies along the way.
