The story was okay not the best not the worst but the narrator "voices" were really not my forte... I struggled to listen to the full book.

This book gave me a rollercoaster of emotions. Thank you to both narrators, they did a extremely good job to make the listener feel all the emotions. Yes, we all very quickly know what is going to happen to the MCs but still the story is beautifully written and I read this book in one day... couldn't stop it. I laughed, cried, blushed... a few sex scenes nothing crazy (so if you just want a smut romance maybe not this one), but if you want a deep connection this one is for you.

I stopped at chap.7 couldn't hear "mignon" one more time

First of all, I love regency romance books ... but I couldn't listen to The MMC saying "Mignon" instead of Mignonne" one more time. Mignon is for male, mignonne is for female. if you have te repeat a word every other sentence please get it right. Also something wasn't ticking for me with the story and the way the Duke acts like a predator... sorry not for me.

frictional back stage story of "Bridgerton"

First of all: No, it's not the back stage fictional story of the actors of Bridgerton (sadly) BUT with Nicola as the FMC narrator and the regency fictional TV show actress in this book, ut definitely feels like it!
The romance and characters are well built and the "Haters to lovers" progression is quite lovely.
I have to say that the beginning was a bit confusing but soon enough you understand what is going on... When it's a "stage acting" description and when it's "real life" charaters description...
NO SEX just a charming Love story, so Smut affectionati this book is not the one for you but for the charming romance addicts this one is for you.

dark romance

I will start by saying that both of the narrators did a great job! I'm not a huge "dark" romance person and so some parts of the book seemed a bit "grr" to me. It's not dark dark but some moments made me feel very uncomfortable (maybe I didn't read some of the trigger warnings are I wouldn't have bought it). The romance part is well done, the steamy parts good too. Would I recommend this book to a friend: "maybe" but with a several warnings.

great surprise

I have to say this book is a great surprising "inspired version" of Peter Pan. Not at all a re-write.
Some sex scenes were not my liking as I don't really like "one element" (no spoiler) of the fantasy of Wendy. But over than that it was a good book with a great story line... Would recommend this book to friends who wants something different 😉

I wanted to like it but ...

I wanted to love it but the main character is a bit too "whiny" for me, I had to listen to it at pace 1.2 and sometimes faster to go through some passages. I am sorry to say that about a book. Also, it's a bit "Hallmark plot" and Happy ever ending for me. The performance was really good though.
it's overall an easy read for a long trip by airplane but nothing more really.

the story is a addition of all the things you could have in a romance story plus a bit a of spice (really not that much). I had to fast-forward at one point and I don't do that usually with an Audio book.

a lovely romance story with a bit of "heat"

This book is a lovely romance with some "smut" parts as we say nowadays. I really enjoyed listening to this book, the performance was nice in the "old english type" but I have to say that I didn't like how she did the man voice. Nothing dramatic though.

I really wanted to like this book but...

I read this book for my bookclub and wanted to like it but I didn't. The two main characters are both not developed enough, I mean we don't really know them at all ... also the author just jumps from one situation to another, doesn't really go deep enough in it for us to truly fall in love with the story. The ending feels like it was dropped out of nowhere, sorry to say that.
I'm sad to say I will not recommend this book, it has a lot of ideas but they are not developed and utilized in the best way.
