This was easy to listen to. The title is sketchy, but the story is sex positive and mindful of enthusiastic consent. I was a little bit irked by the FL's melodramatic preoccupation with her ex, but she gets over it. The steamy scenes turned out great.

This book is explicit, erotic and unashamed. I liked it more than the previous book in this series. The narrator is so unique and on point, there were times when I wondered if she was AI (in a good way). There are some very intense sexual scenarios here including BDSM. If you're into that, this is the one!

Lopsided character development

The concept of this story is really interesting and cool. I enjoyed the parts of the book that developed Katahn's character. As a reader, I liked exploring an alien world and learning about the culture, politics and biology of the Vrex. Katahn is a very likeable romantic lead. Ivy on the other hand seemed flat and was fleshed out character-wise with every romance novel stereotype in the book. It was really hard to believe that she would be selected out of tens of thousands of applicants for an interplanetary colonization mission. Throughout the story, she basically goes nowhere, does nothing, and spends her time thinking about Katahn and waiting for Katahn to show up. The voice actor for Katahn was able to create great voices, but the narration style felt rushed for both voice actors.

If you like Cole's IAD series, you may like this title. the story was fun, held my interest and didn't get too dark. the narrator is pretty good, too.

Cole writes the most interesting, titillating love scenes, and Petkoff performs them with his delicious, versatile narration. No one else writes this this: blending exciting, interesting stories with passionate, sensual, erotic love scenes. I'm never disappointed by this combo of author and performer.

Breathy, Sexy Chic Lit

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I bought this audiobook because it was a bargain, and I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't read or listening to much in the "chic lit' category as a disclaimer! I felt like parts of the story were very contrived: especially Caroline's two best friends, who were caricatures at best and one dimensional buzzing gnats at worst. I thought some parts of the story were creative like the texting logs. I would recommend this to someone who enjoys a good, sexy romance.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Wallbanger was the best. I wish they really made men like him!

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The narrator's performance was probably my favorite part of this audiobook. She didn't hold back! It all came together in the end in a frenzy of breathy, sexy moaning.

Could you see Wallbanger being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I could see this being a romantic comedy with a N17 rating.
