Historia
As Liverpool and its residents begin to heal from the wounds and memories of World War I, life on Weaver Street in 1924 is blessedly peaceful. But as the Depression begins to bite, and the arrival of the Muller family on Weaver Street signals the worrying drumbeats of conflict coming from Germany, the fragile happiness and peace Liverpool has been enjoying looks destined to end. And as the neighbours pull together in the toughest of times, the women on Weaver Street face the prospect of waving their menfolk off to war.

Hard Times on Weaver Street
Revisado: 05-29-23
Hard Times on Weaver Street is the second book in the Weaver Street series by Chrissie Walsh. After reading Welcome to Weaver Street I was really looking forward to starting this one and it certainly didn’t disappoint. It’s a wonderful saga book with fabulous characters. The author describes the characters so well she makes them come alive through her books. There are some new characters introduced and one especially I grew very fond of as I read through this story. The neighbours of Weaver Street are facing some tough times during the 1930’s as Britain is hit by the Great Depression. However in spite of their troubles they battle on and have great spirit. I adored this book and really hope there will be a third one.
