I really hate it when a series changes narrators. I forgot how bad this transition was when I did a re-listen to catch up to Hunter. I love these stories, but it is lostin translation with the two actors. will probably just return Hunter and try to find time to read it instead of listening.

Those Witches went too far. I hated it!!

I have enjoyed this series up to this point. The incredible loss of life in this book and the complete lack of resolution or accountability was senseless and left me wanting to stop listening altogether. I won't invest any more of my time in this series due to that.

Story steamy, narrator too slow

I liked the story well enough to continue the series, but I had to speed up the pace of the reader. He was so slow and pretty monotone overall for me. Occasionally, there is a bit of inflection, but it would be better to have more flavor.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I enjoy this series very much.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I hate the way this narrator speeds through everything and she doesn't capture the characters and voices in the way that we have come to know. She also, pronounces names completely wrong in some cases.

Any additional comments?

I hate the music that punctuates random spots in this book. Please leave the out because they are annoying.

If you could sum up The Witch with No Name in three words, what would they be?

Well Worth It

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rachel of course. I liked all the characters, some right away in the series, others had to grow on me, but Rachel never gave up, even when things seemed to be worse than ever. She has steadfast loyality to her friends and they to her as well as a will to always do the right thing even when it is the hardest thing to do and you know the bad guy is gonna take advantage of you.

Have you listened to any of Marguerite Gavin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She did a great job on this series. I listen to a lot of books and her perfomance and the voices made this series come alive.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me feel every emotion there is. I was very happy with the ending and pleased with the outcome of the battle for power.

Any additional comments?

Anyone considering this series, should read from the beginning as each book builds on the previous one, especially where the characters are concerned. If you start here, you will never know what a chump Al was in the beginning. Just saying.. :) Enjoyed it completely. Sad to be done really, on to another literary adventure.

What was most disappointing about Scarlett Edwards’s story?

So far, the only outcome is that this guy looses his manhood in a very painful way, but seems like she is getting brainwashed instead. Dark romance or sick twisted violation of a woman by a powerful predator. I may never try anything by this author again if he does not end up loosing everything for this. There is nothing he can do to justify this and sadly, the story seems to validate him so far. I am sure it appeals to someone. I really hate this guy. I just need him to be tortured to death, or near death over and over. I have a feeling I am going to be disappointed.

She was great.

What disappointed you about A Good Student Part II?

I really didn't like either narrator or the way the story was structured. The trading off between viewpoints is usually something I enjoy, but not the way this was done. Monotone for the male narrator made it difficult to get the vision of any scene. I haven't even finished this book because I keep tuning it out.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Emma was my favorite. She is on a journey of discovery and that is clear, but she also has a good head on her shoulders about things.

If you could sum up Forever My Girl in three words, what would they be?

Good Story. I liked the male narrator as he seemed to be able to capture the feel of the story appropriately. Female needed to remember that we don't always speak as if we are using our bedroom voice at breakneck speeds. I didn't like her at all. All of the Josey chapters were a waste to listen to. Sorry, but that is the point of audible version vs. print version. A good narrator is almost as important as a good story. I was dissappointed in that side, but I will still read the stories, just not listen to them if this female is included.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Greg Albany and Elizabeth Ann Rollins ?

I wonder if the author ever listens to the audible version of their book to see if they would listen to the narrators reading it? If I were this author, I would want a redo.
