Historia
Since its release in 1949, The Hero with a Thousand Faces has influenced millions of readers by combining the insights of modern psychology with Joseph Campbell's revolutionary understanding of comparative mythology. In this book, Campbell outlines the Hero's Journey, a universal motif of adventure and transformation that runs through virtually all of the world's mythic traditions. He also explores the Cosmogonic Cycle, the mythic pattern of world creation and destruction.

This book should be required reading or listening for every student entering university.

There are too many reviews by people more learned than am I.
Students that read this book will learn that each struggle they suffer through daily has been occurring since the beginning of time.
This is one of the most important books in the literature of comparative myth/religion.
If nothing else the tale of “sticky hair” would probably be helpful to college students and those preparing for a difficult difficult task to learn that one must always keep moving forward and working.

This book Makes clear what has been pointed out for years, if you’re well behaved and don’t speak out about people of power, and employers you will be fine.
If you do, speak truth to power do you will be observed, and constantly questioned.
That the two cyber security experts made their application “MBT” available to the public speaks to their transparency.
I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in a world, where free, thinking, free speech, a Free Press, and employer transparency means something to the ethics of society.

Historia
In 1981, emboldened by Ronald Reagan’s election, a group of some 50 Republican operatives, evangelicals, oil barons and gun lobbyists met in a Washington suburb to coordinate their attack on civil liberties and the social safety net. These men and women called their coalition the Council for National Policy. Over four decades, this elite club has become a strategic nerve centre for channelling money and mobilising votes behind the scenes.

Anne Nelson Call‘s back the curtains on the separation of church and state in the United States of America. Citing previous research and making clear cogent arguments Ms. Nelson put front and center with dystopian vision of the religious right. Add to this text with “dark money“ and you will never elect another a member of the party of Lincoln again for any position anywhere. These are people driven by Craven greed and control.
Are any organization that covers up the sexual abuse is a criminal enterprise, end of story.

An “absorbing, provocative, and far-reaching” (Kirkus Reviews, starred review) look at what power is, who gets it, and what happens when they do, based on over 500 interviews with those who (temporarily, at least) have had the upper hand - from the creator of the Power Corrupts podcast and Washington Post columnist Brian Klaas.

Too many of the leaders he describes running about.
Revisado: 11-14-21
Why do smart people continue to be fooled?
Why do poor people vote against their own best interests?
Gullible? Klaas breaks it down in this book with clear arguments.
Maybe Klaas needs a web page for anonymous discussion of poor leaders in the workplace?
The book will open your eyes to poor leadership and elected officials around you.
Read this book, then read “Run for Something” after discerning that you are not a psychopath or narcissist.

The time to dismiss Trump is now
Revisado: 11-25-19
This book tells many tales we have already read or heard in sound bites on live or digital imagery with sound.
It is time to take these calls seriously and remove the current president from office.
This president’s love of thugs and oligarchs is enough that the GOP should replace him ASAP if they believe in our form of government.
