Historia
There is a new Alpha Wolf in town, and she is about to change everything. Mena had all she wanted in life: a nice house, money, a successful husband who treated her like a queen. That was, until she found out her marriage was all a lie, and things she never thought could exist, did. Vampires are real. Werewolves are real. And Mena is not human anymore.

A Great little intro into the Moonrising series!
Revisado: 01-06-17
If you could sum up Accepting the Moon: Prequel in three words, what would they be?
Appetizing.... Exciting.... Mysterious....
What did you like best about this story?
I like how this prequel filled in some of the backstory of how Mena's descent into the unknown paranormal world began. We can already start to see her transformation into the woman she will become is this short story and it also gives us a tasty little tidbit to get us salivating. What kind of tidbit you ask? Well no spoilers here, better to listen and experience it yourself.
What does Pyper Down bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She brought the characters to life with emotion and spiritedness. *Read more about the narration in additional comments.*

What a great team up of authors and narrator!
Book: This is a short story of how it all began. I was so glad to get this glimpse into the Moonrising series. The story picks up fairly quickly and leaves you wanting more. In fact I started listening to book 1 immediately after I finished to see what happened next. I don't always read or listen to prequels, but I am glad I did this time. It not only gives us an idea of if we will enjoy this series or not it also puts a perspective on part of the story that we would be clueless about in book 1 without it.
Accepting the Moon is well written and captivating. The authors done a great job in grabbing my attention early on and keeping it all the way through. You can tell from a certain scene that things will get hot in book 1, and believe me they do. In the end I was left eager to start Midnight Moonrising, because as I said before this book is like a delicious appetizer that is followed by a scrumptious banquet!
Narration:As I said above Pyper Down brings so much to the story. She breathes life into the characters by not just reading words in a book, but putting her all into it. I also love listening to her voice it is pleasant and soothing. The type of voice I could see Mena having, I listened all the way though from beginning to end because first Pyper's voice drew me in, then the story exploded around her. I do like how she changes her voice for each character in the story, that to me is always a plus. I would definitely listen to more books narrated by her and would recommend this book and narrator to lovers of audiobooks and the paranormal genre,

Book:
Stormy Smith has created a marvelous story. Bound by Duty is a tale full of magic, heart break, love, and mystery. When I started reading I was quickly drawn in and found it hard to put it down. I really like the characters, some more than others and found myself feeling right along with them. I could especially feel the pain of Amelia and Aidan. They have both been through so much and there is so much more to come. I did enjoy the little quips at times between the characters that would help lighten the mood and I just love Amelia’s best friend. She is one of those characters that just brings a smile to my face. Amelia does seem to get herself into some pretty bad predicaments throughout the story. Then I got left on a cliffhanger that left everything so far up in the air that anything could happen next. Where will this journey lead us? It promises to be quite an adventure of love and sacrifice.
Audio Book:
Overall the narration by Kristin James is good and easy to listen to. She helped bring Stormy Smith’s book to life. I love that she reads with emotion in her words. I do feel that she kept her voice too soft which made it harder to hear at times and she needs a little work on accents but other than that she did a great job. I did thoroughly enjoy listening to Bound by Duty.

Book
Janae Mitchell has a way with words. I found this story interesting and eerie. I was drawn right in and found myself dreading what would happen next. I can feel many emotions while reading a book, but very few writers has been able creep me out like Janae did with this one. Ouija boards has always creeped me out, but even if they hadn’t before, I believe Janae would have just successfully succeeded. Unleashed is a fantastic and horrific story, equipped with possession and death, with a little bit of a love story mixed in. It has everything you could want in this kind of book and more.
Jailyn and Prestley are friends that one day make the horrible decision to try out an Ouija board. After that everything goes to hell with; mysterious sound, people missing, and Jailyn being stalked. Jailyn finally has to enlist help, but who should she trust and who will ultimately betray her? Will it ever be over? Or is it just the beginning?
Narration
Shannon Tyo has a great voice to listen to and she brings life to Unleased by reading with such great passion and emotion. I was so happy to find that she was NOT a monotone reader. A good book can be ruined with a bad narration and I believe Shannon’s narration enhanced the overall feel of Unleashed. She also read at a good speed, not too slow or too fast.
There is only one problem that I found. There is little to no voice differentiation for each character. Every character sounded the same, but aside from that her performance was spectacular. So if the voice not changing for each character is not a problem for you, you should love this narration. I would defiantly listen to more books narrated by her.
Janae is a fabulous writer and with Shannon’s narration this book is brought to life in living color. Congratulations on a job well done ladies

Historia
Plagued by nightmares and panic attacks, seventeen-year-old Jax Mitchell wants nothing more than a life of seclusion with only her twin brother for company. So when he's kidnapped by Earth's reclusive alien settlers, the E'rikon, she'll do anything to get him back--even form an alliance with a teenage E'rikon boy left behind by the same ship that took her brother. Jax agrees to act as a guide, and in return, the alien agrees to sneak her past the human-proof barrier surrounding the E'rikon city. Too bad it's not that simple. Jax soon finds that she's drawn to the alien boy with bright green hair and jewel-like scales on his back--and he's equally affected by her, the courageous redhead with haunted eyes. But she doesn't know the alien's true motives, and he has no idea that she is much more than she seems. With the aliens and the humans at odds, the connection forming between the two teens has consequences. What started off as a rescue mission sets in motion a chain of events that threatens not only the remaining humans and the growing alien society, but Earth itself.

Out of this world!
Revisado: 03-16-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Broken Skies to be better than the print version?
Yes. The narration adds so much to it. I think that Theresa Kay and Andrea Emmes make a fabulous team. Andrea adds so much feeling and expression to Theresa's words. The narration is done with such emotion behind every word that it is just captivating. No monotone reading here. I was laughing and crying throughout the book. There was one part that I felt so deeply about that I actually gasp out loud. I have never done that before with any book. And I also love the little voice effects that is added in.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I have two favorites, Jax and Lir. They just seem so real and down to earth. They both have issues that they need to solve and tend to go through the normal doubts of trusting the ones that they have always have been taught is the enemy.
Which scene was your favorite?
I have many favorite scenes but I thought it was hilarious when Jax strips to go swimming while Lir stands there in shock and as she is in the water it dawns on her what she just did.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Definitely! I enjoyed listening to this book so much that I didn't want to stop. I could listen to Andrea Emmes read all day. especially such an amazing book like Broken Skies.
Any additional comments?
This book blew me away. We don’t just get in the main character’s head we experience everything with her. Theresa Kay is such an inspired author. The characters are believable and down to earth. I love how realistic the scenarios are with that little bit of otherworldly abilities and tech added in to spice things up. I got so caught up in Broken Skies that I felt like I was missing a part of me when it was over. I cannot wait for the next book to come out.

Amazing Story
Revisado: 03-05-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Creatura to be better than the print version?
I preferred the print version, because the narration left something to be desired.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Creatura?
The most memorable part is when Isis and David first meet. In her dream and in person.
Did Helen Cricco do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
I feel she could have done better. At times it was hard to distinguish one character's voice from another. I found her reading to be a bit slow and without much emotion. I changed the speed to 1.25x and it made a lot of difference to me.
Any additional comments?
Creatura is an absolutely amazing book. Nely Cab kept me guessing the whole way through with unexpected twist and turns. Her writing style is so easy to follow that I get lost in her world along the way. This story is put together seamlessly and has great character diversity. I found I could connect easily with the characters on this emotional roller coaster ride, with an unbelievable cliffhanger at the end.

The people of Minnesota believe the twin cities to be Minneapolis and St. Paul, but what they don't realize is the name actually refers to a parallel dimension known as The Realms, where creatures of myth roam freely. Humans stand only a dimensional barrier away from the most terrifying and horrible monsters imaginable, but there are select few who answer the cries for help, who guard the world of mankind and keep it safe from harm.

If you could sum up Mr. Grimm in three words, what would they be?
Interesting, Good, Unfinished
Which character – as performed by Al Kessel – was your favorite?
Al Kessel done a fabulous on all of the characters. I think he embodied all the was Mr. Grimm. He keep my attention the whole time.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. It was short enough that I was able to listen to it in one sitting. Which is good since I didn't want to put it down.
Any additional comments?
The only problem that I found was, I felt like it was just getting into the story good when it stopped. I would love for Drew Avera to elaborate more on this story. Other than that, this is one of the best audiobooks I have listened to.
