Who are you when the teeth come out? For every true act of leadership, there is an equal and monstrous act of sabotage. Our leaders have been entirely routed by the agitated and the anxious. These emotional tyrannies manifest themselves in local libraries, HR cubicles, elder meetings, and at your Thanksgiving dinners.

Historia
In this brilliantly analytical yet personal book, nondemocratic societies are put under a microscope to reveal the mechanics of tyranny that sustain them. In exposing the inner workings of a "fear society", the authors explain why democracy is not beyond any nation's reach, why it is essential for our security, and why there is much that can be done to promote it around the world.

Good but dated?
Revisado: 05-05-23
I found Sharansky's exposition of the psychology of Free vs Fear societies to be persuasive. The application of his philosophy to the analysis of the Cold War sheds a new perspective on the past. But I'd like to see the author update this book in light of the continuing failure of the Middle East peace process, the complete failure of the US led effort to transform Afghanistan into a Free society, and the transmogrification of Western democracies into Fear societies through the COVID-19 pandemic with the enthusiastic support of the Deep State, the Main Steam Media, Big Tech, and Big Pharma. What is the motivation of Western leaders to be responsive to their citizens' interests when the Deep State is literally controlling the information flow to citizen?

Historia
In this visionary book, Dennis Prager, one of America's most original thinkers, contends that humanity confronts a monumental choice. The world must decide between American values and its two oppositional alternatives: Islamism and European-style democratic socialism. Prager makes the case for the American value system as the most viable program ever devised to produce a good society. Those values are explained here more clearly and persuasively than ever before.

A love song to a bygone America
Revisado: 04-13-23
Well written and narrated, I couldn't help but feeling that America's best days are behind us. The paean to American liberty rings hollow after 3 years of COVID lockdown and vaccine mandates. A prescient warning about the danger to Taiwan and Israel should American military strength wane. Our democracy swallowed by the Deep State that works to ensure only candidates acceptable to the ruling elite have a chance of being elected. Buy this book before it is memory holed.

Historia
Did you know George Armstrong Custer survived the Battle of the Little Big Horn and became a gunslinging knight - errant in the West - aided by a troupe of Chinese acrobats, cancan-dancing girls, a rebel-flag eye-patch-wearing Southern gambler, and a multilingual Crow Indian scout? H. W. Crocker's rollicking, witty, adventurous new novel Armstrong is an alternative history like you've never before heard.

The story is very campy. The narrator does a good job with distinct voices for all the characters. I'm not a huge fan of this style of literature. I'd rather listen to a book by Custer or a biography of Custer. But I did get a lot of laughs listening to the book.

Historia
On May 24, 1869 a one-armed Civil War veteran, John Wesley Powell, and a ragtag band of nine mountain men embarked on the last great quest in the American West. The Grand Canyon, not explored before, was as mysterious as Atlantis - and as perilous. The 10 men set out from Green River Station, Wyoming Territory, down the Colorado in four wooden rowboats. Ninety-nine days later, six half-starved wretches came ashore near Callville, Arizona.

Historia
This portrait of Mari Sandoz’s pioneer father grew out of “the silent hours of listening behind the stove or the wood box, when it was assumed, of course, that I was asleep in bed. So it was that I heard the accounts of the hunts,” Sandoz recalls. “Of the fights with the cattlemen and the sheepmen, of the tragic scarcity of women, when a man had to ‘marry anything that got off the train,’ of the droughts, the storms, the wind and isolation. But the most impressive stories were those told to me by Old Jules himself.”

Historia
One of the most extraordinary literary documents to have emerged from the Soviet Union, this is the story of labor camp inmate Ivan Denisovich Shukhov and his struggle to maintain his dignity in the face of Communist oppression. Based on the author’s own experience in the gulags, where he spent nearly a decade as punishment for making derogatory remarks against Stalin, the novel is an unforgettable portrait of the entire world of Stalin’s forced work camps.

A warning to US from the gulag
Revisado: 04-12-22
Wonderful narration by Solzhenitsyn's son brings home the pain and suffering the Soviet government inflicted on its own people. Like any big government program, the gulag staff and management sought to perpetuate and advance their careers by exploiting the prisoners through back breaking labor and extended sentences. Solzhenitsyn answers his critics and pokes them in the eye with pointed dark humor.
This book gives fresh perspective into our own government's treatment of political prisoners, secret police, forced vaccinations and lockdowns, and war against the middle class.

The Real Anthony Fauci details how Fauci, Gates, and their cohorts use their control of media outlets, scientific journals, key government and quasi-governmental agencies, global intelligence agencies, and influential scientists and physicians to flood the public with fearful propaganda about COVID-19 virulence and pathogenesis, and to muzzle debate and ruthlessly censor dissent.

Comprehensive review of vaccine history and future
Revisado: 03-18-22
As well as taking a deep dive into Dr. Fauci and his pattern of mishandling the AIDs and COVID-19 pandemics, the author reveals evidence that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation further enriched Bill Gates and his Big Pharma allies by forcing vaccinations on unwilling third world governments.
Bill Gates funded pandemic simulations where world leaders learned how to create fear in the populace to break down resistance to forced vaccinations. These war games are eerily similar to what we've been through the last two years.
My hope is that enough people will become aware of the history and future plans of these Pharmaceutical-Globalists to achieve herd immunity from their schemes to subject us to further medical tyranny.
