Boys are so much better in books. At least according to Merrilee Campbell, 15, who thinks real-life chivalry is dead and there’d be nothing more romantic than having a guy woo her like the heroes in classic stories. Then she, her best friend, Eliza, and her younger sister, Rory, transfer to Reginald R. Hero Prep - where all the boys look like they've stepped off the pages of a romance novel. Merri can hardly walk across the quad without running into someone who reminds her of Romeo.

The Story Gets Better if You Listen to 300

The story is very much PG and great for young listeners, even the performance is voiced to sound young. While there is quite a bit of nasally voiced characters, it is distinguishable that not all characters are. You really are within the head of a 15 years old and the characters develop and lot more in the second half of the book. You have to survive the first half of the book, but the ending is really what all clean romance novels are made of. Villains become the greatest support beams and the dashing hero sometimes becomes the villain. Moral of the story is don’t judge a book by its cover, or a person by first experience.
