Historia
After a botched Halloween ritual, Madison Spencer, the snarkiest dead girl in the universe, finds herself trapped in Purgatory, otherwise known as Earth. The upside: She is no longer subject to physical limitations (she can pass through doors and walls). The downside: Well, she’s still dead.

this book has some really unique characters.

the beginning felt like a bit of a slog, maybe want as polished as the rest of the story.

Historia
Adam Binder has lost what matters most to him. Having finally learned the true identity of the warlock preying on his family, what was supposed to be a final confrontation with the fiend instead became a trap that sent Adam’s beloved Vicente into the realm of the dead, where none living are meant to be. Bound by debt, oath, and love, Adam blazes his own trail into the underworld to get Vicente back, and to end the threat of the warlock once and for all. But the road to hell is paved with far more than good intentions.

Great 3rd act to a book
Revisado: 03-05-24
Enjoyed the "trilogy" but it def wasn't 3 books. All 3 books together were one normal fantasy book in total length spilt into 3 books. This should have been one book in 3 acts. If I had payed full price for these audiobooks I would have been pissed 😡.

Historia
Adam Binder has the Sight. It’s a power that runs in his bloodline: the ability to see beyond this world and into another, a realm of magic populated by elves, gnomes, and spirits of every kind. Years after his brother Bobby had him committed to a psych ward, Adam is ready to come to grips with who he is, to live his life on his terms, to find love, and maybe even use his magic to do some good. Hoping to track down his missing father, Adam follows a trail of cursed artifacts to Denver, only to discover that an ancient and horrifying spirit has taken possession of Bobby’s wife.

Well written original modern fantasy.
Revisado: 01-31-24
This book has some really solid world building and characters. It's a fun take on a newer genre. In a lot of ways it feels like a love letter to Jim Butchers Dresden files (and other modern fantasy series)while not being derivative. He's obviously thought hard about the setting and keeping this characters origins and background distinct. Definitely worth the read if you're into Modern/Urban fantasy.
