Boring!!! do not waste credit!!!
Revisado: 11-05-23
I was expecting a sequel to the firm. it is not anything like the Firm. I listened to the whole book, thinking it would become an interesting thriller with a twist. .nope!!! predictable, boring, and juvenile. I find it hard to believe John Grisham wrote this. I will be reluctant to buy future books before I re reading the reviews. This book was a waste of my time abd a credit!!!!

Historia
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

Historia
Shelby works as a dog walker in northern California, and she’s just finished up her bi-weekly trip to the park with a husky named Pluto. When she brings him back to his house, she finds his owner - Todd Burke, a well-known local businessman and founder of an organic supplements company - lying on the bathroom floor, dead. A detective arrives on the scene. As she interviews Shelby, the body is inspected by a medical examiner, and more cops search Todd’s home, it becomes clear that the victim’s life was less picture-perfect than his clean-cut persona might lead you to believe.

Short suspenseful story. Well written. Listened to while cleaning and doing errands. I like when I can not predict the ending from the beginning. This book has a great twist.

When you listen to this audiobook, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are listening to a story about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement - a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Assume nothing. Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.

This book started out okay but then went downhill fast. I kept waiting for it to get better only to find out that the ending was even worse. I really wanted to know what happened to the main character but the book ends so badly that I can't bring myself to even consider listening to the next book.

Keep me trying to figure out the end
Revisado: 03-09-09
I liked this story. It kept me interested and wanting to listen to more. I like a story that I can't figure out immediately and this one did just that. It keeps the listener intrigued to figure out who killed Theo's mom. The narrator is excellent and easy to listen to. He has a great voice for each character and somehow makes them come alive. Awesome!
