I really like the overall general direction this book goes in but I do feel like it was really drawn out and didn't need to be as long as it was.

this book feels like a mixture between the TV show Wednesday and movie Miller's girl but in the worst way. I have been pushing myself to try to finish it but the story line just isn't catching and you can see the twists and turns coming from a mile away. I don't like the female character. and I wish there was more of the male narrative because the female butchers Vads voice. with 3 hours left in the book I DNF because I just couldn't handle another moment of it.

...SPOILERS AHEAD.......

ok let me start out by saying I am a Dom girl and have been since the moment he walked into the party in book 1 so that's probably why I felt a certain way while listening to this book. I felt like Tobias was an unneeded character in the story it felt forced and I struggled to like his character through the whole book. where I felt like Dom and Cecelia had so much chemistry and tension I can't help but feel like everything else with Tobias somewhat felt flat. AND to kill Dom off felt completely unnecessary I understand it was supposed to be some grand gesture of his love and supposed to break hearts and make us feel loss and trust me it did, it broke my heart but I feel like he should have been given more of a chance In the books. most of the book I found myself angry with Tobias for all his lessons he was trying to teach that didn't make any scene along with Cecilia's rambling monologues that had my eyes rolling a good bit but then we get to the time skip and I'm excited because ok maybe Cecilia's grown up, maybe we will start getting answers, maybe Tobias wont irritate me as much as he does in the first half but nope I swear the second part of the book was basically one phrase said probably 30 times or more "Cecilia leave" I feel like so many characters are so childish and even Cecilia going back to the town to try to stir up things and being so heartbroken when she learned sean moved on and was in love an married with kids and then still continues to seek a married man out, he left her a gift she should have just took it without going to seek him or so yea that's a no go for me. I listened to the whole book in hopes that it would pick up and get better but she completely lost me after killing Dom. I'll probably listen to One last Rainy Day just for Dom but I don't think I can make it through The finish line. I'm done with the Cecilia and Tobias narrative.
