I so look forward to Nalini’s writing. The world she has built is so rich and unique it never fails to pull me out of a reading slump. Optimistic that I will find another writer who can do the same. Sometimes disappointed in not being able to find a counterpart. But most times it gives me the energy to really search. Thank you Nalini for this happy ending . A full sweet meal.

A good story is like a good meal, I love Sarah j mass just for this reason. All of her books leave me satiated and satisfied. Delicious. I’ll be good for a while, because honestly I was ravenous.

It feels like there really wasn’t an ending . I finished frustrated and unsatisfied. It was good story but incomplete.

I have no words, I’m sick to my stomach. The hero rapes her 7 times, but the 8th time it feels good and I don’t know maybe he’s not so bad.... WHAT!!

I have read so many romance novels with similar themes and story arcs, and the way the authors handled this same subject is done so much better then this horror show.
There was no easing into the love or the hero understanding that what he did was wrong, she just forgives him and moves on. It was just rape and then bam feelings. And the theme of the book is that all of it is ok because it’s just their culture. it’s just their way. Rape no biggie, domestic abuse.. it’s ok it’s love, slavery is fine as long as your slaves are happy. ARE YOU KIDDING ME.

I got 3/4 of the way through when I physically couldn’t read anymore.

A place in hell for people who find this ok, that’s how strongly I feel about it. I’m done with this author.

I have read every one of Feehans books, but the last couple of books (this series and the shadow series) seem to be the same formula recycled. I am 12 mins into this book and I have to return it. I stuck with this series because I love the over arching storyline of the prince and the disease that effects the carpathian women. But each book the male lead seems to be more and more obnoxious. The story doesn’t feel as believable anymore . The stories seem fast forwarded and the writing seems out of touch. I don’t know anymore. Maybe I just grew out of the books? Either way think it’s time I move on.

Would you try another book from Randi Cooley Wilson and/or Jorjeana Marie?

Maybe, build up to nothing really.

Would you ever listen to anything by Randi Cooley Wilson again?

Heck no, the whole time she made me feel as if I needed to blow my nose, you know when some one has a clogged nose and you feel that “sympathy pain?” Damn uncomfortable.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She was distracting at time with that nasly stuffed nose at times.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Good chemistry between the main characters, led up to nothing.

Any additional comments?

Maybe I’ll read the second Maybe I won’t, but I won’t listen to this narrator again.
