Historia
Corduroy Mansions, Pimlico is an oasis of old-fashioned civilisation, its inhabitants considerate and peace-loving. But beneath the polite exterior seismic change is stirring. Barbara Ragg makes an eye-popping discovery about her stolid Scottish suitor’s past, while Oedipus Snark – newly appointed and tirelessly self-interested Government Minister – has a close encounter in Switzerland that leaves him a new man all together.

Would you listen to A Conspiracy of Friends again? Why?
Yes, maybe I would. I love the conversations and encounters of the people in McCall Smiths novels.
What other book might you compare A Conspiracy of Friends to and why?
It is in tune with most other books by McCall Smith
Have you listened to any of Andrew Sachs’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Just as good as in the others.

Historia
Kate Schechter would like to know why everyone she meets knows her name - and why Thor, the Norse god of thunder, keeps showing up on her doorstep. Dirk Gently, detective and refrigerator wrestler, can uncover the mystery, and only the absurdist wit of Douglas Adams can recount them with such relentless humor.

Would you try another book from Douglas Adams and/or Douglas Adams?
I would try Hitchhiker Guide to the Galaxy, but not another book in this series.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment. I just did not care about the characters and the story.
Any additional comments?
I guess the book will have it's fans, but I could not see any redeeming qualities in this book.

Historia
Take one look at Kevin Smith: He's a balding fatty who wears a size XXL hockey jersey, shorts, and slippers year-round. Not a likely source for life advice. But take a second look at Kevin Smith: He changed filmmaking forever when he was twenty-four with the release of Clerks, and since then has gone on to make nine more profitable movies, runs his own production company, wrote a best-selling graphic novel, and has a beautiful wife and kids. So he must be doing something right.

Funny stories from the life of Kevin Smith
Revisado: 04-30-12
Would you listen to Tough Sh-t again? Why?
Yes I would listen to Tough Sh-t again. Here's why: Kevin Smith (or should I say Mr. PodCast) is a funny guy. Especially when he talks about episodes from his own life. He talks about his early days of film making to his so-so encounter with superstar Bruce Willis when filming Cop Out. And you get to know all about how he met his wife +++ (the X-rated version)
What did you like best about this story?
His telling of it !
What does Kevin Smith bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Himself !
