Jim Burwell talks about the history of AA at Top 'O Texas Amarillo, Texas, November 8, 1952. His sobriety date is June 15, 1938. Jim is the author of The Big Book story "The Vicious Cycle" (page 219 in Fourth Edition/ page 238 in Third Edition). Jim is known for his agnosticism. He is famous for insisting that the words God as we understood him be included in step three.

Great pre and current AA history

I love that he was with Bill a year and a half before the big book was written. And dad he lived with Bill for a few months. Also, I learned about hank parker who I had never heard of, and who we owe our lives to.
