Historia
Many biographies of people with schizophrenia seem to dwell primarily on the feeling of hopelessness, and they keep expectations for the sufferer's future low. With this autobiography, Mr. Jiang attempts to turn the tables on this litany of sorrow. He shows himself as a result of the miracles that modern medicine can produce. He went from being a basket case to a respected, technologically-savvy medical librarian working at a world-renowned research institution.

Interesting, confusing
Revisado: 05-30-15
The story is about a man, his fall into Mental illness and recovery. Just a story like others, but there is a uniqueness that made me want to keep listening.. i finished the audio in one day. .. I would recommend if interested in the daily life, and functioning of a person w this disease.
However, the reader kept repeating sentences and words throughout the entire book.. Don't know if intentional or not, but at times very distracting.
Almost stopped listening at one point, but instead just skipped to next chapter.... The repetition, seemed to improve in last few chapters.

Historia
For years he'd stalked elementary schools and playground looking for young girls from low-income neighborhoods to abduct, rape and murder. He thought of them as "throwaway kids" - hardly missed, and soon forgotten, except by those who loved them. He was ever parent's worst nightmare. The bogeyman they warned their children about ... the fiend who lurked outside bedroom windows.

Mixed well
Revisado: 05-26-15
With many characters including , victims, cops and others, along with different times frames, places and evidence.. The author kept the story together well. The story read smooth, avoid any confusion with the vast amount of information that is shared.. Reader was able to share in the police officers disgust of the defendants crimes.. U will know evil exist if u read this story.
Alitte slow reading at times, because u knew who the bad guy was rt from the start.. Which took away from the suspense that could have made this story a page turner. And though interesting no ergency to finish it.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Historia
One summer day, Margaux Fragoso meets Peter Curran at the neighborhood swimming pool, and they begin to play. She is seven; he is 51. When Peter invites her and her mother to his house, the little girl finds a child’s paradise of exotic pets and an elaborate backyard garden. Her mother, beset by mental illness and overwhelmed by caring for Margaux, is grateful for the attention Peter lavishes on her, and he creates an imaginative universe for her, much as Lewis Carroll did for his real-life Alice.

Impossible possible
Revisado: 01-18-15
Wow very insightful. The author allows u to conjure sympathy and at times even empathy for the Sexual predator of the story, without taking away from the enormity of the crime.. Finding yourself wanting the best for him and ar the same time crying inside for the horrible wounds he caused on his victims.
Great story.. Also informative for both the victim and the assailant.
I was crying towards the end, u want to help both..

Historia
In Christopher Golden’s first horror novel in more than a decade - a work reminiscent of early Stephen King - Snowblind updates the ghost story for the modern age. The small New England town of Coventry had weathered 1,000 blizzards...but never one like this, where people wandered into the whiteout and vanished. Families were torn apart, and the town would never be the same. Now, as a new storm approaches 12 years later, the folks of Coventry are haunted by the memories of that dreadful blizzard and those who were lost in the snow.

A very creepy,, mysterious story. Crafty by combining supernatural, paranormal ghosts and psychological thriller w murder and intrigue..Never wanted to put it download. Highly recommend if u enjoy mystery that is not corny nor futuristic and better than science fiction.. Narrator did a great job.
