Great premise, great action (plot as a verb”) vivid scenes prickly characters. Well performed! All in all a wonderful read. You really should begin the series from the beginning! One really wonderful thing is each book has a satisfying ending causing you to want to read more but not compelling you to; no cliff hangers!

I’ve been reading sci-fi since I attained sentience, this might be the best book I have ever read (listened to) The combination of hard science and reasonable extrapolations as well as the humor made this a wonderful experience. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

It might be the best book I’ve read since I began reading!

I’ve read sci-fi all my life. It’s hard to actually call this sci-fi but it is an absolutely terrific story! The characters are very deep and easy to relate to. The plot is complex with many twists and turns. The ending is so satisfying there is no sequel and no need for one in fact a sequel would detract from the overall story.

This book was great! I wish it didn’t end with a cliff hanger though. I can’t wait till the second installment is available!
As usual the characters are deep, the creatures unique, the plot riveting and the scenes vivid. Jasper’s work is always great and his imagination awesome!

Well developed characters that you will love and loth, Great plot, lots if action not excessively romantic. Totally believable locations vividly depicted. The only negative is there isn’t any humor to break the tension. I will definitely read more by this author.
I love the fact that it is presented as a single book with a satisfying ending, no need to slough through a 5 plus series!

The characters already deep have continued to grow. There’s a lot of action, twists and turns and drama some romance without any gratuitous sex,
The descriptions if locations and action are vivid and the ending is really satisfying!
The narration was superb the performer brought all the characters snd action alive.
