Historia
With the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Looming Tower, Lawrence Wright became generally acknowledged as one of our major journalists writing on terrorism in the Middle East. This collection draws on several articles he wrote while researching that book as well as many that he's written since, following where and how al-Qaeda and its core cultlike beliefs have morphed and spread.

Subject Matter Expert
Revisado: 04-10-24
The Author conveys a phenomenal wealth of knowledge both though, first hand experience and Indepth reporting. His centrist point of view lends great authority to the subjects at hand as he at times appears sympathetic with both causes while being equally critical to them. This is a great book for all interested in Middle East foreign relations.

Historia
Teenage girls are taking courses of testosterone and disfiguring their bodies. Parents are undermined; experts are over-relied upon; dissenters in science and medicine are intimidated; free speech truckles under renewed attack; socialized medicine bears hidden consequences; and an intersectional era has arisen in which the desire to escape a dominant identity encourages individuals to take cover in victim groups. Every person who has ever had a skeptical thought about the sudden rush toward a non-binary future but been afraid to express it - this book is for you.

Great Read
Revisado: 05-20-23
Very fascinating and Indepth look at the current state of affairs resulting in parents outsourcing their responsibilities to school systems, social media, and those medical professionals without the fortitude to say no.

Insufferable, don’t waste your time
Revisado: 12-01-22
I’m 25 minutes in and there’s been no content at all. This is a terrible podcast. Don’t be like me, don’t waste your shower time trying to get through this.
There’s one guy talking over two ladies. There’s a lady who’s cohosting but has no idea about who the subject of the podcast even is.
Straight up not a good time.

Historia
One day, 14-year-old Sophie Amundsen comes home from school to find two notes in her mailbox, with one question on each: "Who are you?" and "Where does the world come from?" From that irresistible beginning, Sophie becomes obsessed with questions that take her far beyond what she knows of her Norwegian village. Through those letters, she enrolls in a kind of correspondence course, covering Socrates to Sartre, with a mysterious philosopher, while receiving letters addressed to another girl.

Historia
Is the problem with the Dark Web or is it us? If we think we can get away with something, it's only human to be tempted — isn't it? So is our online behaviour that surprising, when our identities are hidden? The issue of an internet where everyone is anonymous is discussed by Geoff White, Channel 4 News's former Technology Reporter.

Great story telling, horrible ending.
Revisado: 01-18-21
The in-depth research and analysis throughout the show was fantastic until the final episode.
During the meat and potatoes of the five into the dark web, it’s uses and vulnerabilities was comparable to Darknet diaries for a more refined and less technologically inclined audience.
During the final episode when confronted with the question of Edward Snowden’s moral character the host melted under scrutiny and allowed for guest to maintain an er of hypocrisy and grandstanding with illogical and inconsistent arguments without any rebuke.
I couldn’t believe how terrible such a good show ended, I’m unsure of if it was political or finance influence that “game of thrones season 8’ed” this immense waste of oxygen and bandwidth however, I hope that in the future journalistic integrity finds the author in a moment of reflection.
