Best Mark Greaney novel to date!

Great story with continuous action once the story is set up in the first few chapters. Greaney's books have always included a lot of action but now it is enhanced with a style trending towards Tom Clancey.

If you could sum up Hunter Killer in three words, what would they be?

Very engrossing.

What other book might you compare Hunter Killer to and why?

Somewhat like a Tom Clancy novel without all the background and detail information. The story moves along pretty quickly, foregoing details on weapon specs and strategies.

Have you listened to any of Gary Galone’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but he is very good.

Any additional comments?

This book tells an interesting story about how WWIII starts and develops with the Chinese. You can see how this would happen given the world we live in today. Only problem is that the book ends half way through the story. The follow on book has not been written so you are left hanging for maybe a year until the follow on book is released. Note that this author has written many books but only 2 books are available on Audible so it is uncertain whether you will ever be able to finish with Audible.

Weak story line.

The book was OK but definitely not Vince Flynn quality. George Guidall narrates the Vince Flynn characters more convincingly.

Typical Mark Greaney story. Very good , fast paced. Excellent book to listen to while running or exercising!
Have read all Greaney's books. All have been excellent.

Mitch Rapp is back in classic form! Great story!

Would you listen to The Last Man again? Why?

Yes. Can't get enough of Mitch Rapp. Always listen a second time to pickup the details I missed the first time through.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes. The situation looks hopeless between the foreign terrorists trying to destroy us and the liberals in Washington getting in the way of the people trying to protect us but Mitch Rapp prevails once more with a vingence.

Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Great as always. Definitely my favorite narrator.

Great Book and Narration

What made the experience of listening to State of the Union the most enjoyable?

Great, fast moving story with a lot of action. George Guidall's narration is excellent and adds much to my enjoyment. Story is very believable with situations easy too imagine in today's times. I also enjoy the description of the weapons, spy technology and methodology, along with their capabilities used in the stories.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Scot Harvath. World's second best spy behind Mitch Rapp (Vince Flynn).

Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to all of Brad Thor's and Vince Flynn's books narrated by of Guidall. He is excellent in setting the the right tone and level of enthusiasm. My favorite narrator.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No

These books sometimes cause me to be late to work or in getting home in the afternoons as I will sometimes have to sit in the parking lot or driveway to see how a situation ends up before turning off the car.
