Historia
Not Forgotten is a modern story of intrigue, suspense, and heart. Driven by his passion to help the people of North Korea, Bae moves to neighboring China to lead guided tours into the secretive nation. Six years later, after 18 successful excursions in and out of the country, Ken is suddenly stopped at the border: He inadvertently brought his hard drive, which reveals the true nature of his visits, to customs. He is arrested, brought to Pyongyang for further questioning, and sentenced to 15 years of hard labor. His crime? Attempting to overthrow the North Korean government.

An interesting story with bad narration.
Revisado: 07-11-18
You'll notice a theme with the reviews when it comes to the narration of this book. And they aren't wrong, the narration is pretty epically awful. Specifically it's how the narrator pronounces Korean words such as Pyoungyang. It's incredibly annoying and disappointing but it doesn't ruin the book. It's an interesting story and worth a read.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Sooooooo underwhelming

Any additional comments?
Oh man, where to begin? This book is targeted at angsty Millennials and really didn’t strike a chord with me. There is the occasional decent point that is made but as a whole I found it to be very short on substance. And in general I found it to be a rather negative book. Thankfully it is really short. You’ve been warned.

Historia
North Korea is isolated and hungry, bankrupt and belligerent. It is also armed with nuclear weapons. Between 150,000 and 200,000 people are being held in its political prison camps, which have existed twice as long as Stalin’s Soviet gulags and twelve times as long as the Nazi concentration camps. Very few born and raised in these camps have escaped - but Shin Dong-hyuk did.

Worth the read despite the performance
Revisado: 01-05-17
Would you be willing to try another one of Blaine Harden’s performances?
God no! Not if I could avoid it. The performance was pretty bad but it really didn't detract from the story (which is amazing).

Historia
John Boyd may be the most remarkable unsung hero in all of American military history. Some remember him as the greatest US fighter pilot ever - the man who, in simulated air-to-air combat, defeated every challenger in less than 40 seconds. Some recall him as the father of our country's most legendary fighter aircraft - the F-15 and F-16. Still, others think of Boyd as the most influential military theorist since Sun Tzu. They know only half the story.

An absolutely great read

What did you love best about Boyd?
I loved how it covered the history of modern aviation in terms of the design of aircraft.
Any additional comments?
A friend recommended the book to me and I finally got around to reading/listening to it. It is better than I ever could have possibly expected. It does a great job of documenting and explaining how modern aviation took form in terms of tactics and plain design. Really a diamond in the rough.
