What in the heck was with that beyond annoying accent? what was with the food recipes every other chapter I just couldn't! the female narrator reads most of the book and it's just too much she is awful in this book!

The first book wasn't bad but this one just dragged on and on.. the male narotor is so boring no character to his voice it sounds like he's reading and doing a very poor job at it. couldn't finish the book.

Narrator was horrific

Why have a narrator that uses the exact same voice for both characters?? He did nothing to even try to sound like the female character and it gets confusing because I couldn't tell when he switched!!! this book could of been okay with duel narration or at least some one who can change their voice. I couldn't finish it .

I remember reading this book years ago and loved the whole series and when I saw it on audible I had to get it! Huge mistake, why did they pick a narrator who could not do a male voice? Or should I say she made James and every other guy sound like a very old man who had a frog stuck in his throat and sounded angry all the time!! What a shame this would of been a great listen if it was duel narration or even a different narrator who could at least made James sound young and handsome not like this sick pissed off old man. I could not finish it that voice was to much for me to listen to for hours..

This could of been a good book but the SEX in every dang chapter is way to much!!! I mean don't get me wrong I love when a couple finally gets together but I listen to a book for the STORY! There isn't much of a story and I'm all for a hot guy who can please his female but other then having sex with her this pair almost has ZERO chemistry and no conversation unless it's about her disobeying him not to wear panties around him. narrator's did a okay job. I'm all for the dark Mafia dudes but GIVE US A STORY life isn't just sex, sex, sex, sex... ugh

Waited for this last book for a long time, I loved all the horde kings but this last book was so long and well boring. I was kind of disappointed I actually skipped over chapters.

Male narrator doing a female ugh!

Couldn't really get into the book because the narrator doing the female voice was no different from the male character sounded like he was talking to himself. the book could of been good but it's not sexy hearing a female with a deep male voice totally threw the book off. idk why they don't do duel narrator's the story's are so much better when each character can sound right.

The story is interesting and it kept me listening, what I didn't like is the male narrator, he sounds so flat not like a big dragon who should have a deep voice plus when he does the other characters they all sound the same including the female's, it's a huge turn off hearing a man's voice talking as the female. Because of this I won't be listening to the other books in this series sadly .

I usually just listen to a whole book even if it's not that interesting as I work but I just couldn't finish this one. dragged on and on with nothing really happening, I didn't like the narrator voice as a guy it didn't sound anything like a male just like a person with a very sore throat and it drove me crazy, they really should have duel narrator's seeing these are big bad gladiators they sure don't sound like a big tough guy, they sound like a girl with a sore throat.
