Terrible Narration

I listen to and/or read over 100 books a year and I’ve only left maybe 3 1-star reviews over various platforms total so please know I don’t make a habit of leaving bad reviews. The story doesn’t flow and I couldn’t finish this book. The narration (maybe because of the storyline) was perhaps the second most annoying narration I’ve heard ever. Zero character development that I picked up on. The best friend…she seemed pointless considering she didn’t even stay to help her settle in. I’m glad this was free with my membership.
