Historia
Fourteen-year-old Trixie Stone is in love for the first time. She's also the light of her father Daniel's life - a straight-A student; a pretty, popular freshman in high school; a girl who's always seen her father as a hero. That is until her world is turned upside down with a single act of violence. Suddenly everything Trixie has believed about her family - and herself - seems to be a lie. Could the boyfriend who once made Trixie wild with happiness have been the one to end her childhood forever?

Not her best IMHO
Revisado: 07-23-21
I’ve listened to 6 or 7 of Jodi’s books, but this one I just could not get into. I don’t know if it was the characters or the story but it never gripped me. I could not see what was happening, and kinda didn’t care about what might happen either.
Sorry.
But it won’t stop me choosing Jodi’s stories. She’s (almost always) fantastic.

Better than I hoped.
Revisado: 12-11-17
There’s lots going on, and it makes for an intricate cross-cross of characters, who almost - almost - make it confusing. Good action, believable characters, and good story.
Couple times the wording (not sure if it’s the writing or the narrating) felt a little clumsy, but enjoyed it a lot.

Historia
One moment June Nealon was happily looking forward to years full of laughter and adventure with her family, and the next she was staring into a future that was as empty as her heart. Now her life is a waiting game. Waiting for time to heal her wounds, waiting for justice. In short, waiting for a miracle to happen. For Shay Bourne, life holds no more surprises. The world has given him nothing, and he has nothing to offer the world. In a heartbeat, though, something happens that changes everything for him.

Many changes, many hearts. One great story
Revisado: 05-25-17
The interplay between characters is easy and rich. The story, at times a little incredulous, is well woven and complete, with a beautiful culmination that, like the title, caused a change of heart.

Interesting twist
Revisado: 03-01-16
Simple, yet deep. The meaning in the story is fascinating.
I did find the part of the human to be quite annoying at the beginning. He came across as unconscious, and maybe it was intended. Just irritated me somewhat.
