If you haven't read the comic, you should probably skip this one

I'm a big fan of this story...in Comic form. I can't say i cared too much for it in this format. That's not any kind of slight on the actors. I'm a fan of most of the cast and they did relatively well, but it felt kind of convoluted. Here's the thing, Gabriel Rodriguez is a monster artist and his visual storytelling worked extremely well with Joe Hill and is sorely missed here. I collected and read this story in individual issues, trade paperbacks, and deluxe hardcovers yet still had some trouble picking up where they were in the story. I'm guessing it'll be rougher listening for those unfamiliar with the graphic version of this tale...and yes I'm returning this. It should be read and everyone deserves to see the amazingly wonderful art of Gabe Rodriguez. Otherwise you're shortchanging yourself and the story.

It's really hard to listen to smut when the player skips forward 5 or so seconds every 4 seconds thus making said filth even more unmistakable than the writing. Will return, and if they say no....well, at least it was cheaper than a bottle of iced Starbucks.
