Historia
War veteran Peter Ash sought peace and quiet among the towering redwoods of Northern California, but the trip isn't quite the balm he'd hoped for. The dense forest and close fog cause his claustrophobia to buzz and spark, and then he stumbles upon a grizzly long thought to have vanished from this part of the country. In a fight of man against bear, Peter doesn't favor his odds, so he makes a strategic retreat up a nearby sapling. There he finds something strange: a climbing rope affixed to a distant branch above.

Good read
Revisado: 09-22-21
The Peter Ash series is an easy to read action novel. I find myself finishing them in a couple days. The characters are easy to relate to and follow. My only complaint would be the occasional misuse of military or firearms terms. I would assume that Peter, being a veteran of several battles, would know the difference. It’s obvious the author has a very limited knowledge of firearms. Otherwise, it’s a good read ans I recommend it.

Historia
Matthew Riker keeps to himself, doesn't cause trouble, and never talks about his past. But after a chance encounter with a woman and a small child on the run, Riker will have to make a choice: use his hard-won skills to protect two innocent victims, or stay in the safety of his quiet life. What follows is an adrenaline-soaked thrill ride that will take Riker on a cross-country chase, through the seedy underbelly of a New York criminal empire, and into the darkest places of the human heart.

Excellent

This was my first read from this author. The book was fast paced ans kept my interest the whole time. I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series.

Odd Thomas ripoff
Revisado: 03-18-21
This is a casual read that has a shallow and over used plot. I doubt King even wrote this book. It does not feel like something he would write. I think at this point he is just signing his name to whatever to get paid. If you read the book Odd Thomas, this is almost the identical story line. There is some slight difference but it’s very slight. I didn’t check, but it almost sounded like the same reader. If you’re interested in a light weekend listen I guess this will work. Keep your expectations low.

Just ok
Revisado: 06-11-20
This is an average book. It’s kind of disappointing for a King book. I have found over the years that some of his book are amazing, other are just Ok. This book is the latter. The first story about the phone was probably the best. If it bleeds, the title book, was a sad reference to the outsider, which I actually enjoyed.

Painfully boring
Revisado: 02-05-20
Being a huge fan of Mind hunter I really anticipated listening to this book. Unfortunately, it’s was painfully boring and very difficult to finish. Imagine a Sunday afternoon documentary. If there is nothing else to do then ok, but you’d be better off reading something else.

Unbelievably long and painful
Revisado: 12-17-19
I had really high hopes for this book. It started out ok but turned into an unbelievably long and boring story. If this was a 6 hour audio book it might be better. I finally finished it but it was really painful to get though.

Historia
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis' parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there's no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and 10-year-old Avery Dixon.

Long and boring
Revisado: 09-30-19
This book had potential but was so long and boring. You could skip most of the chapters and never miss anything. This is not King's best work, if he even wrote it.

Disappointed
Revisado: 06-22-18
I first want to thank Brandon for his service. Navy Seals are bad ass this world would be a lesser place without them.
The book however is a disappointment. Brandon speaks a lot about being laser focused. However,, as the book goes on, and he tells his story, it becomes clear that he is all over the place. Too many ideas and failed plans. Too many sticks in the fire, etc.
I myself am a self made business owner. My current business exceeds 1 million in revenue and has been running for 16 years. So I have some background in the business world. I did not come from a rich family and I started my business from the ground up, by myself.
Brandon, I’m sure is an amazing sniper and seal, and I believe he is trying to help people overcome obstacles in life and business. But be warned that his advice is not spot on and sometimes even wrong.
One example of Brandon’s failure is the small business association. Let me unequivocally state that the SBA does not lend money to small businesses with no capital, period. If you think, as Brandon states, you can just borrow the money, you’re wrong. The SBA is administers through a local bank. They treat us just like any other loan. You need cash or equity or both. The only difference is that the SBA guarantees to cover the bank of you default. Regardless, the bank won’t approve anything if you’re starting out and think you’re going to be the next big thing.
Anyway, if you really like self help books, then go for it. But be warned to not take it for more than it’s worth. It’s like when you go to a seminar and you’re all fired up after the key note speaker. Then an hour later you realize it was all just common sense.
