I never really knew what was happening
Revisado: 08-22-23
First…this author is amazing so the problem here may be me…
I only had an hour and a half left but I had to stop listening. I had to restart multiple chapters (too many to count) many times and I would still find myself lost after a few minutes. Honestly I am still confused.

an old favorite
Revisado: 03-04-23
Dawn (first in Cutler saga) was the first thing I had ever read by V.C. Andrews. This series always makes me cry. It is depressing but a good story. The Casteel series and The Landry series are both great as well. I’m glad they are finally available on audible after all this time.

Historia
Kenzi Brannon loves the single life in California. She hasn't looked back since the day she walked away from her painful past. Everything comes crashing down when Kenzi gets a call about her estranged sister's suicide. If that news isn't shocking enough, she also learns that she is now guardian to Ember, a niece she doesn't even know. Kenzi heads up north and finds herself in her family's long-abandoned house. Neighbors whisper rumors of hauntings, but Kenzi has a more serious concern-mounting evidence points to her sister's death not being self-inflicted.

Eh…
Revisado: 10-14-21
I really wanted to like this book. It had potential. I like mysteries and stories about spooky houses…but I saw the “twist” coming a mile away.
Possible SPOILER…..
FYI I can’t even remember the names of these characters…
Twice it was obvious that the coworker was in on things. The first time was at the beginning when she first called the main character to tell her about her sisters death. The second time was when she called main character again to help speed along the “murder investigation”. Was it not supposed to be blatantly obvious? The narrator even laid it on extra thick during those parts. This book will be going back and unfortunately just when I thought I had found a new series…I’m back to looking.

Historia
Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can't move. She can't speak. She can't open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn't remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from 20 years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

Boring
Revisado: 03-18-21
Yet another book on audible that has positive reviews that I don’t feel it deserves. I could barely even make it to the end to see who did what. I really didn’t care at all. In my opinion there was no build up. So therefore there were no good twists or surprises. It just fell flat. The only reason why I struggled though to the end was because I have been returning so many books lately that I actually feel bad. I don’t expect to love every book but quite a few that I have listened to in the last few months are outright terrible.

Way too drawn out
Revisado: 03-12-21
This book is way too drawn out and I was never on the edge of my seat. I don’t know if I’m reading (listening to) too many books or if the reviews are just ridiculous but lately it seems they can’t be trusted. I have exchanged so many books I actually feel guilty about it but I don’t know what else to do.

"This is a very difficult letter to write. I hope you will not hate us too much.... My son broke into your home recently while you were out." In a quiet, leafy suburb in upstate New York, a teenager has been sneaking into houses - and into the owners' computers as well - learning their secrets, and maybe sharing some of them, too. Who is he, and what might he have uncovered? After two anonymous letters are received, whispers start to circulate, and suspicion mounts. And when a woman down the street is found murdered, the tension reaches the breaking point.

So boring
Revisado: 03-02-21
I have 30 minutes left of this book and I’m still waiting for those “twists and turns” I’m supposed to be experiencing. The only time I was on the edge of my seat was when I was ready to get up and do anything aside from continuing to listen to this. It’s so bad that I don’t even care who did what. Who are the people giving these terrible books such high reviews lately? It’s like you can’t trust any of them anymore.

Historia
Genevieve has secrets that no one knows. In Rome she can be whoever she wants to be. Her neighbours aren't nosy; her Italian is passable; the shopkeepers and restaurant owners now see her as a local, and they let her be. It's exactly what she wants. One morning, after getting groceries, she returns to her 500-year-old Trastevere apartment - it's exactly as she left it, not a thing out of place...except for the small box on her kitchen table. A box that definitely wasn't there this morning. A box that is addressed to "Lucy Callahan." A name that she hasn't used in 10 years.
