Historia
Kari James, Urban Native, is a fan of heavy metal, ripped jeans, Stephen King novels, and dive bars. She spends most of her time at her favorite spot in Denver, the White Horse. When her cousin Debby finds an old family bracelet that once belonged to Kari’s mother, it inadvertently calls up both her mother’s ghost and a monstrous entity, and her willful ignorance about her past is no longer sustainable. Haunted by visions of her mother and hunted by this mysterious creature, Kari must search for what happened to her mother all those years ago.

This is the best listen I've had in a while, and I've been listening to some good stuff! I'll definitely be looking for more from Erika T. Worth and Tonantzin Carmelo.

Historia
Susan Fowler was just twenty-five years old when her blog post describing the sexual harassment and retaliation she'd experienced at Uber riveted the nation. Her post would eventually lead to the ousting of Uber's powerful CEO, but its ripples extended far beyond that, as her courageous choice to attach her name to the post inspired other women to speak publicly about their experiences. In the year that followed, an unprecedented number of women came forward, and Fowler was recognized by Time as one of the "Silence Breakers" who ignited the #MeToo movement.

Inspiration, validation, and a roadmap
Revisado: 02-24-20
I couldn't put it down until I had finished listening to every word! read like a novel, despite being powerful non-fiction. as a woman in tech, I thank her for her heroism. as the mother of a daughter soon to graduate with a degree in computer science, Susan's story helps me to understand what she may be facing, and this story is an incredibly strong and ethical example of how and why to hang in there! I especially appreciate hearing Susan tell us her story. I'm a huge fan, now!
