A moving, thought-provoking, and honest account of combat in Vietnam. The true story of the many challenges faced by an infantry company in 1968. It may well answer many questions you might still have since the hasty withdrawal of America from that troubled land.

I can't put in words how beautiful this story is. It's not the downer you think it might be. It's uplifting, surprising, and cathardic.

Historia
Just Ask the Universe is not a book of New Age gobbledygook filled with empty promises. Angels won't fly from above and touch you while you're listening. You will not be asked to practice unusual or tedious rituals. There will be no preaching or sage advice and there will most certainly be no channeling of your inner chakras or dressing like Friar Tuck. Just Ask the Universe is a realistic guide to personal development.

Historia
Gazing into the bathroom mirror one morning while shaving, Josh Kornbluth realizes that he looks remarkably like the guy on the $100 bill. Like any good Jewish son, he immediately calls his mother. From there he becomes obsessed with what it means to be a founding father, especially when your own father/son relationship (Ben had an illegitimate son named William who was a British loyalist during the Revolutionary War) is more than a bit strained.

Perfection!
Revisado: 03-23-15
Where does Ben Franklin: Unplugged rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I have listened to a million (roughly) audiobooks ( : and I can't think of any I liked better than this one.
What did you like best about this story?
It is fascinating, intriguing, intelligent, funny, and brilliantly told.
Have you listened to any of Josh Kornbluth’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This was my first.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes. I tried to listen to it while running. But I was laughing so hard, I would veer off track, which would make other runners stumble out of my way. So I started to walk instead while I listened. I have gained a little wait, but it was worth it.
Any additional comments?
I can't really begin to describe how entertaining I think this is. I think it's brilliant.

Historia
Why exactly Charley Bordelon's late father left her eight hundred sprawling acres of sugarcane land in rural Louisiana is as mysterious as it was generous. Recognizing this as a chance to start over, Charley and her 11-year-old daughter, Micah, say good-bye to Los Angeles. They arrive just in time for growing season but no amount of planning can prepare Charley for a Louisiana that's mired in the past: as her judgmental but big-hearted grandmother tells her, cane farming is always going to be a white man's business.

I didn't want it to end!
Revisado: 11-11-14
What made the experience of listening to The Secret of Magic the most enjoyable?
Deborah Johnson's writing is so amazingly vivid. It's like I was watching a movie. I can't wait until the movie comes out, by the way. I love the story. I loved every detail of this book, and usually I like to skim over some details.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I found all the characters interesting. Often in a book there will be a character about whom I am not intrigued or disgusted. I was intrigued by all her characters. I cared about them all.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. I wanted to savor it for a long time. I wish it hadn't ended.
Any additional comments?
Peter Francis James is unbelievable!!!! I have never heard a better narrator. Every character sounded like their gender, their social status, their personality... And I loved the way they all sounded. I don't know how James did it!
