Historia
Clayton Stumper might be in his twenties, but he dresses like your grandpa and fusses like your aunt. Abandoned at birth on the steps of the Fellowship of Puzzlemakers, he was raised by a group of eccentric enigmatologists and now finds himself among the last survivors of a fading institution. When the esteemed crossword compiler and main maternal presence in Clayton’s life, Pippa Allsbrook, passes away, she bestows her final puzzle on him: a promise to reveal the mystery of his parentage and prepare him for life beyond the walls of the commune.

Loved!
Revisado: 01-05-25
Another historical fiction story brought to life. The narrator really did a fantastic job. I was very impressed with all the different accents and how none of them sounded phony or goofy. Don’t let the length of time turn you off from getting this book. It’s so good that the time flies by. Highly recommend!

Not bad, but not good either.
Revisado: 11-14-24
This is one of the weakest novels I’ve ever read by this author. I know Bosch has to get old and not written about soon, but I just don’t like this new character of Renee Ballard that he’s trying to grow into his next series. I hope that he doesn’t write anymore Renee Ballard stories. She’s just not likable to me. I don’t ever feel like I want to root for her tosucceed.

Revisado: 10-31-24
Narrator did a wonderful job. That can be a dealbreaker for me. Miss Davis did another great historical fiction. I’m working my way through all her books right now. This one is about the Dakota and the history of it in New York City. I didn’t realize it had been built in 1884.
I’m also going to be reading some of the books that were suggested by her in the research that she always listed the end of her books .

A lot longer than it needed to be. Was very repetitive in the conversations between the main character and her father. Still… I wasn’t mad that I spent the credit.

Talent doesn’t die!!!
Revisado: 06-14-24
Do you know how some authors that have been writing for years just seem to be turning out a book to collect another paycheck? Will this isn’t one of them! I thought I knew where it was going. It twisted, it turned, it surprised me! it made me cry, it made me curse, it made me scream! Great job Mr Coban! And there can never be another narrator besides Mr. Weber! If they ever hired another narrator, I would end up having to read the book because I have his cadence and rhythm in my head of his characters. Phenomenal job!
