The story is wonderful, but the narrator is clearly not a fluent/native speaker, which makes the narration bad. They should use a fluent/native Spanish speaker to read it

What disappointed you about El noveno deseo de cumpleanos [The Ninth Birthday Wish]?
The narration for this book is so terrible that my 7 year old refused to listen to it. If a book is going to be available as a Spanish language edition, at the very least it should be read by a fluent speaker of the language.
Would you ever listen to anything by Bruce E Arrington and Florence Jayne again?
I can't say for sure. The narration was so terrible that we were unable to even listen to the story. It may be a wonderful book, but was completely ruined by the narrator.
Would you be willing to try another one of Ramona Master’s performances?
