Historia
When 11-year-old Blair Smearton is abducted near a river bank on the hottest day of the year, no one can trace the man spotted taking her. Detective Anna Gwynne is back at work with her cold case unit following a brutal attack that nearly cost her her life. She’s investigating the death of young Rosie Dawson, whose bones were found hidden in a hole in the ground 10 years ago. The only lead Anna has is a photo of Rosie posted on a chat room hidden deep online. And then she finds one of Blair. Kidnapped. In the exact same dark room.

Historia
Once the streets pull you in, they own you. Or at least that's the way it's been for Nautica. Growing up in the hood, all she's ever known is the fast life - fast money illicitly made through scandals and relentless scheming. But when a big scam nearly finishes her off, she decides she wants more out of life than the hustle and tries to make a new life for herself on the East Coast.

Poor grammar,, graphic sex
Revisado: 01-04-16
What would have made The Dopeman's Wife better?
Less graphic sex, and all the time! The grammatical errors in narration astonished me. Is there not a competent editor who worked on this book?
What didn’t you like about Nicole Small’s performance?
Narrator was fine unless she can't read.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The srory line was fine, but pure fiction.

Historia
A dark shadow of fear has fallen over Newpointe, Louisiana. First one, then another, of the town firemen's wives has been murdered, and a third has barely escaped an attempt on her life. Incredible as it seems, a serial killer is stalking this sleepy little southern community. And Mark Branning's wife may be next on the list.

Lousy
Revisado: 06-15-08
Had I known this was a book that touted "born again" and had such a lousy narrator, I would never have purchased it.

So disappointed in all of her books over the past few years and I used to anticipate each of her books and could hardly wait to read them. This book was dull and boring and I didn't like any of the characters. Maybe because of the narration? I could hardly struggle through it and couldn't tell you what the end result was.
