Historia
At the end of The Last Kingdom, The Danes had been defeated at Cynuit, but the triumph of the English is not fated to last long. The Danish Vikings quickly invade and occupy three of England's four kingdoms - and all that remains of the once proud country is a small piece of marshland, where Alfred and his family live with a few soldiers and retainers, including Uhtred, the dispossessed English nobleman who was raised by Danes.

Historia
The Moonraker project has a millionaire backer, the war hero Sir Hugo Drax - a man who, it seems, cheats at cards. With a ballistic rocket at stake, Sir Hugo's exposure could threaten Britain's latest defense system, so James Bond is asked to investigate. Moving from London's most exclusive gambling club to a missile silo on the Channel coast, 007 and his Special Branch assistant, Gala Brand, discover there's more to Drax than meets the eye.

Flemming at his best
Revisado: 02-25-15
Sadly Fleming is a very under rated writer dye to the deviation grin the original books the films have evolved. If you have not read any of the books , do so , they are of the highest quality.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Historia
It’s been a long time since Jesse Stone left L.A., and still longer since the tragic injury that ruined his chances for a major league baseball career. When Jesse is invited to a reunion of his old Triple-A team at a hip New York City hotel, he is forced to grapple with his memories and regrets over what might have been. He left more behind him than unresolved feelings about the play that ended his baseball career. The darkly sensuous Kayla, his former girlfriend and current wife of an old teammate is there in New York...

Beware! Not all is as it first appears.
Revisado: 10-24-14
Would you try another book from Reed Farrel Coleman and Robert B. Parker (Created by) and/or James Naughton?
Reed does not seem to have a grip on the true nature of a Jesse Stone book. I would go so far that the only thing he has captured and reproduced is the character's names. Had I been more observant I would not have purchased this knowing it was not by Parker.
Would you ever listen to anything by Reed Farrel Coleman and Robert B. Parker (Created by) again?
No.
Which character – as performed by James Naughton – was your favorite?
All of the performance was fine, the material is the let down.
Any additional comments?
This is not a Jesse Stone book, so long as you are aware of that you may well enjoy it.

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

- De: Suzanne Collins

What is all the fuss about?
Revisado: 03-11-13
What would have made The Hunger Games better?
A more believable story line, far too many 'just introduced' elements with no logic attached. The love story thread was simply annoying and frustrating and no resolution delivered.
What didn’t you like about Carolyn McCormick’s performance?
She did as good a job as she could have, just not sure such a light voice was suited to what was basically a fairly violent and heavy story, it just did not jell.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Hunger Games?
The final battle scene and the ending, just made you think you were being treating like an idiot who would not notice the flaws in the plot

Historia
LAPD cop Scott James is not doing so well, not since a shocking nighttime assault by unidentified men killed his partner, Stephanie, nearly killed him, and left him enraged, ashamed, and ready to explode. He is unfit for duty - until he meets his new partner. Maggie is not doing so well, either. The German shepherd survived three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan sniffing explosives before she lost her handler to an IED and sniper attack, and her PTSD is as bad as Scott’s. They are each other’s last chance.

Good listen
Revisado: 03-11-13
What did you love best about Suspect?
The whole thing just jelled and worked as a total
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Not edge of your seat sort of stuff really, more just sort of always interesting
What does MacLeod Andrews bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The reading was surprising, you really felt the relationship between the main character and Maggie (the dog)
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yep

In the thundering froth of that river, in its echoing stone canyons, four men on a canoe trip discover a freedom and exhilaration beyond compare. And then, in a moment of horror, the adventure turns into a struggle for survival as one man becomes a human hunter who is offered his own harrowing deliverance.

A winning delivery
Revisado: 03-11-13
What did you love best about Deliverance?
The story had it's problems really, but the narration was good enough to smooth over them. Considering the age of the book now it has lasted well.
What other book might you compare Deliverance to and why?
Not sure, maybe an early version of Hunger Games, bit more reality based.
What does Will Patton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The rhythm and cadence is just right.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not really, just engaging right from the start.

Much more of a literary effort than I expected
Revisado: 01-28-13
What did you like best about this story?
I have not read any Fleming before and was probably judging him unfairly based only on the movies, but the book was well constructed and the writing much better than expected, I think I thought it would be more comic book style. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Any additional comments?
Dan Stevens does a good job of the narration - maybe even a little hint of Connery about the phrasing and cadence every now and then.
