Wonderful, magical. intense. perfect narration,

The story is set in Manhattan New York City. Main character who assists Nightingale is silly, sweet, loyal and surprises himself with both bravery and honor. The author takes a stock English character of youth, wealth, silliness and explores his depth. He also is a trained magician, is gay, and in love with a wonderful African American writer. They both love jazz, which as we know is magical in its own way in the Rivers of London stories. Magical musical instruments with deep sorrow and upset turn up and Nightingale must trace them down. Enjoy!

Roman’world opens up to us all

Roman’s tale! I loved all of the storyline and characters. I had issues with the narrator . However I will now confess that I felt Sweep of the Blade narrator would suddenly throw me out due to odd pronunciations..but after the 10th audible relisten I no longer can even find the parts that bothered me. I am only on third listen so I am sure I will come to love this narrator as well. This is a wonderfully written novella.

Brilliant fun, wonderful writing. Intriguing ideas

Another wonderful tale, one of his best. Held my interest so deeply I had to force myself to do anything but listen.
Aaronovitch manages a timely story of computer geeks, and AI without either confusing the reader or dumbing down the concepts. What a grand talent. Every bit he writes is engrossing, well woven, thoughtful and of course often hilarious.
I listened to it, and now relistening because it is that well written.

I might pay real money to hear Kobna Holdbrook-Smith read a phone book if they still existed. Rich, warm, clear voice with endless subtle differences that allow me to recognize each character.

I did have a momentary confusion since chapter one is January then chapter two is prior December. Repeats for the first section of four. Made book even better!

Enjoy this book alone, as a sequel, as any personally preferred delight.

These are so talented. They again write a novel with mystery, humor and laughs in a story with a serious look at life and people’s issues too. Plus magic,

The authors have written another hidden legacy novel. Book 4 of Hidden Legacy, and also can be considered book 1 in a new trilogy. They set the story three years after first trilogy, and the interim novella Diamond Fire.

Great characters old and new. Exciting plot as a solo book and it also moves the arc of Hidden Legacy forward.
Deep changes and now all the conjecture and conclusions of the Bad Guys from First trilogy are not what I thought, the certainty I figured the arc characters out is gone.
It is awesome, exciting and fun to find more mysteries. I was SURE I knew the Bad Leader, yet now I can review, reread, consider.
You will love it.

Lacks complexity

Book requires more development, more personal growth and self awareness to go with it.
I loved From Lukov with Love, and Kulti. It seems to me the addition of a sport gave a framework to write around. The life of child athletes, the rigors of sports training gave each character a depth lacking in this and some others she wrote.

I expected more in the most recent book, found it less enjoyable than earlier work. Having a formula is fine, but this fell short.

Excellent and meaningful story

Sweet yet serious story. One of her best-examining life, realities of love and marriage. Also considers how wartimes injuries effects were treated. (I believe cannon explosions were the first wholesale cause of traumatic brain injuries.)

Ignore 4 star story rating-5plus story but iPhone refuses to allow change

Magical, lyrical, excellent

Without spoilers -Wonderful. Imho perfect pacing, grand storytelling but never grandiose, no fluff or tropes. Briggs develops a series that is somehow realistic, even while being 100% magical tale of werewolves pack. . This story offers everything you can want. It progresses the overall story arc both through general mysteries solved and through character growth. Imho each alpha and omega story is better than the last. Dead Heat had been my fav but this will replace it. Btw a quick scene has Anna riding her little grey Arab gelding.

Wonderful. Great listen

A great job weaving humor, romance and some mystery with great writing. Somehow this silly, funny sweet story is also a study of growth, adulthood, past pain and change. I loved this as much as any of the series. The usual characters are here. Megan is our new character, co-starring Ben.

Amazing, moving

Just wonderful and as fine a book as any she has written. Great world building, fully developed characters. Continues the full worldwide story while starting in a new location. I am so pleased at the quality, intrigue and love story that is moving, not just an add on filler.
