Historia
Elsie and her two best friends made a childhood vow to never marry. But when Elsie begins her first season in London, her mother presents her with an irresistible bargain: If she says yes to each and every man's invitations and still remains unattached by the end of the season, she will receive her inheritance and become a free woman. She's thrown into the spotlight by increasing attention in the newspaper gossip articles. Keeping her end of the bargain seems impossible - especially when her best friend's tyrant of a brother begins to make advances that Elsie literally cannot refuse.

Great book- speed up reader for better experience
Revisado: 03-09-23
The book itself was great - this was a clean romance story and had a nice plot. It felt like a lighter read compared to so many that I’ve read lately that were full of angst- if you need a break from angsty books this is a good one.
As far as the narrator- I’m use to her because I’ve listened to other books she’s read. If you speed the reading to 1.1 or 1.2 it really helps and improves the whole experience.

Different spin than prior stories in series
Revisado: 01-11-23
What I loved about this story is that it was different than the prior stories in the series. It still has the same intrigue and held my interest like the author is known to do. But prior stories were all about men who were rakes and scoundrels- Audrey is actually a gentlemen. So this book fits with that- puts him in very uncomfortable positions but also sees him going after the women he loves and growing into his own role as a man. I am glad I ignored some of the other more negative reviews. There’s less sex in this book than the authors prior books in the series., but it’s perfect where it’s set. I loved the characters- both young and very naive and learning to fight for one another.

Great Narrator, sweet story
Revisado: 01-09-23
Reading the prior books, at least the 3rd book in this series, will help this story make more sense. I liked this story a lot but it wasn’t necessarily my favorite of the 4 so far. I do feel like her stories drag out a little at points . But they are well written and have great twist and turns without too much angst - usually, This book I struggled with because of their lack of communication though so much of the story.
As always the narrator is incredible. Still love the author and the story enough to keep reading the series.
