Again with the evil abusive men

Liked book one. Thought I’d try book 2. But sort of a rehash of the bad men treating women badly, torturing them mentally and physically.
Couldn’t you think of a fresh theme?
Stopped listening at chapter 11. Babygirl!!

Struggled through to chapter 17. Stopped listening.
So tired of hearing about main character’s menopausal symptoms, how unhappy she is about everything, her weight, her love life, her hair, lack of friends, her freckles, on and on. This girl is depressing.

What in the world is wrong with Daniel’s voice? It has changed drastically. He sounds ignorant and difficult to hear. Why the change in timbre? Most irritating

Hated Adrienne. Seriously grow up. Whining constantly about how all me that are handsome are terrible human beings just because her first boyfriend was a handsome criminal. So go find an ugly one if you’re lonely. The male lead was beyond patient with her. Get a grip. I had no respect for the characters. Stopped listening at about chapter 17. Kept thinking it would get better.
