Historia
Daughter of Major Derek Hargreaves (spy?) and June Hargreaves (spy's wife?) sister of Sara (born to be Head Girl) and Ben (the usurper), Jenny's comedy career took off via drama school, cider, sausage rolls, sleeping with men who looked like they lived under a carpet, punk poetry, anorexia, bedsit misery, waitressing and not really having a clue about anything. This was a world before microphones, mobile phones, before everyone gave up smoking or started taking coke. Jenny Eclair was on the comedy circuit before there really was a comedy circuit.

Best celebrity memoir of the decade.
Revisado: 10-15-24
I’ve read hundreds of celebrity memoirs and this is one of the best. Deeply honest, real descriptions of life in the career of a woman and mother. Nuanced mixture of grief and joy. Excellent gossip combined with heartfelt reflection. Had to pause the audio several times I was laughing so hard. Thank you so much for this book Jenny!

Historia
Scott McClellan belonged to President Bush's select inner circle of trusted advisers during one of the most challenging, contentious periods of recent history. Over a period of more than seven years, he witnessed, day-to-day, exactly how the presidency veered off course, not only by its decision to topple Saddam Hussein, but by an embrace of confrontational politics in the face of an increasingly partisan Washington and a hostile media.

Interesting listen if you love US Politics
Revisado: 02-10-09
I found the book to be an interesting behind the scenes look at a story we all know well. True, most of the basic plot of the story is already known through the media, but Scott adds texture and color to the events as only someone who was there is able. I thought Scott doing the narration was essential and added to the appeal of the book. His Texas accent is exactly right for the content....which is one man trying to make sense of some of the most powerful political events within an administration that brought down many good men and women.
