Great book and narrator!
Revisado: 01-04-16
This is an excellent listen for not only female professionals but any leader in corporate America. I felt like Sandberg was speaking directly to me! Very motivating and well-researched. Elisa Donovan is a good choice for narrator.

Historia
At 22, Cheryl Strayed thought she had lost everything. In the wake of her mother's death, her family scattered and her own marriage was soon destroyed. Four years later, with nothing more to lose, she made the most impulsive decision of her life: to hike the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mojave Desert through California and Oregon to Washington State - and to do it alone. She had no experience as a long-distance hiker, and the trail was little more than “an idea, vague and outlandish and full of promise.” But it was a promise of piecing back together a life that had come undone.

Terrible narrator, not much fact
Revisado: 04-15-15
The narrator was hard to get past. I had difficulty taking her seriously as an expert because of how she sounded.
Furthermore, even though she had a doctor interject every so often, she had very little facts to back up her opinions especially concerning pregnancy dos and don'ts.
This book is the typical pregnancy book that makes you feel guilty about everything without reason. Ideas in this book made me feel guilty when I miscarried- like I had done something to cause it.
I recommend Expecting Better by Emily Oster. She's much more concise and has actual facts and real statistics to back up her arguments.

Historia
Economist Emily Oster uses the tools of economics to debunk myths about pregnancy and to empower women to make better decisions while they’re expecting. In Expecting Better, she shows that the information given to pregnant women is sometimes wrong and almost always oversimplified, and she debunks a host of standard recommendations on everything from drinking to fetal testing.

A pregnancy book that doesn't scare you
Revisado: 03-31-15
All of the pregnancy books I've read have made me feel incredibly guilty or fearful- this one approaches all of the myths and decisions logically and efficiently. I feel a lot more informed now. The narrator was well chosen- she has a nice voice with appropriate emphasis.

Anti climactic and slow- good narrator
Revisado: 02-26-15
Meghan Hilty is a great narrator; however, the story was definitely lacking. The book seemed to drag and I lost interest quite a bit. I still don't get where the "Revenge" comes from in the title. I don't see this being adapted to screenplay without a dramatic rewrite!

Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Slow beginning but picked up great
Revisado: 01-23-15
Being unabridged this definitely started out slow. After about 9 hours it picked up and from there was a cliffhanger. I like how there was both female and male narrators for both protagonists. The narrators were definitely a good fit for the parts.
