inspiring for the kombucha curious or kombucha lover

I really enjoyed this book. I am a novice kombucha home brewer and it was a very fun interesting listen. It also made my daughter thirsty for kombucha and made me want to get more creative with my flavors. I wish there had been more details on flavoring and the second ferment process but there were other books recommended for that purpose. Still some bonus recipes at the end would have pushed this book over the top for me. All in all inspiring and fun! Definitely check it out if you are at all "curious " about kombucha.

I read reviews that said the start was too slow, the book was too long, etc. I must disagree. It is the perfect length. The details put in by King had me fully submersed in both worlds and attached to some characters and loathing others. I have always loved a good fairy tale, and this one is fantastic! A grown-up version of stories i loved in middle school. Since the Xanth books i read in middle school were actually mentioned in the book, I believe that was what King was aiming for. If so, he hit the mark dead on!
The narrator was fantastic as well, perfect voice for Charlie, as well as the other characters!

This book was great. I literally couldn't stop listening. it gave me a feeling of anxiety waiting to find out what would happen next. The characters are great detestable villian, admirable relatable other characters. Wow, I still feel shaken.

raw and heartfelt, highly recommend

I loved this book! Jim Beaver gives such a raw honest look into his life and heart. It helped me understand and feel better about some of my own recent emotional struggles. I was a fan prior to reading, even more so now. Sadness, pain, tenderness, hope, miracles, humor, and LOVE and hearing him retell those moments himself was so powerful. Excellent.

Wow! This picks up right where Zoo leaves off and is nonstop action and suspence from first page to last. I wish they would continue the series. If the television had followed the actual book more closely perhaps it would have run longer. Awesome narration and excellent story!

Watching the show is what prompted me to read this book. There is little similarity between the two. The book did not disappoint. Exciting and thought provoking, with and absolutely fantastic narrorator. I couldn't stop listening.

enjoyable but predictable

Easy listen finished in one day while doing household tasks. Performers were excellent and enjoyable to listen to but the story was extremely predictable. Zero edge of my seat, or surprising moments. It was a classic style vampire tale though and appropriate for Halloween season. Not too scary or racey to listen with a younger audience.
