Second time listening to this series. It’s still so good!! It’s interesting listening the 2nd time knowing how everything comes about. Love it still!

Such a unique story…

I love this story. It is, in fact, probably one of my favorite series, if not my favorite… the first Era in particular. Oddly enough, the first time I listened to this book, I was also playing the game Elden Ring. The pictures and movies formed in my head from this story lent itself to being made in the same type of artistry as the game Elden Ring. It seemed quite fitting and still does even having listened to it again. Very well written series, and as always, Michael Kramer does an outstanding job narrating it. Well done all around by everyone involved!!

Absolutely love this series! I can’t get enough of it!! The concept of it being from the point of view of being inside a game might seem odd at first, but it’s so good. I’ve been shocked at just how much I enjoy it.

Loved this episode, as it calls it! I certainly hope there is/will be more! The only thing that came off as odd was the lengthier bits of music in between portions of the performance. Aside from that I loved it all. I’m ready for more!

Starts slow, but gets better.

I wouldn’t say the book blew me away, but it was enjoyable to listen to once I got past the first few chapters. I doubt it would be one I would listen to more than once. I nearly gave up very early on, but I’m glad I didn’t. It is rare that I will give up on a book like that once I’ve started it. It’s probably not for everyone, but it’s an easy listen, aside from some of the character names. Some of them were so similar in sound I wasn’t sure who was being referred to early on. That was a bit annoying. The narrator’s voice is pleasant to listen to, which can make or break an audiobook imo. If you choose to give it a try, give it probably 6-8 chapters before it gets better.

Excellent Finale

The best of the 5 books in my opinion. Loved the story, the complexity of the story and the complexity of the characters themselves as well. The narrators did an outstanding job too. Definitely the best narrators used through this series if you ask me. I was very glad when I found out these 3 were the ones they chose for this final book.
