This book was so fascinating. It starts in 1940 and ends in about 1960s and takes the reader through all the twists and turns of women who is find themselves in the only all women concentration camp is Nazi occupied Germany.
The book broadly follows three women- sisters who are in the concentration camp and the doctor the camp who performed some of the horrific surgeries.

If you have any interest at all in World War II, what women went through, the plight of concentration, camp survivors, you will find this extremely fascinating. Unlike many books, it doesn’t just stop when they’re released from the concentration camp. It helps you understand how they acclimated back into regular life which as you might expect is a bit challenging.
At any rate, it was just riveting!!

Enjoy!!

Warning…. At first, I wasn’t sure I was gonna like this book , I almost stopped at about chapter 8. But I always vow to get through chapter 11 before I make a decision and by chapter 10, I was completely hooked.
I’m so glad I persisted!! What an awesome read, or listen, I suppose!

This story was so well written so well read and so well researched my opinion it should be mandatory reading for every person in the country. Who knew SIGNAL core women for the first army officers, or the first women to serve in the army and who knew what a vital role they played in World War I? I do not claim to be a World War I historian, but I trust that Jennifer has done her research and this book reflects the truth as she understands it and provides such an interesting insight into the war, the realities and the lives of these incredible people.
But moreover, it provides a real glimpse into the camaraderie of war time And how when you return back to your civilian life, there is nothing like that for women or for men. Yes those who deploy lead behind their families but the incredible bond you build with those you are deployed with is unlike others and she does a great job of describing some of that elements of that bond.
I’ll stop here because I could go on for pages but I highly recommend this book. It is incredible.
In my opinion, the only downside of this book is that it ended.
Thank you, Jennifer Cheverrini, and Saski Marlaveld (I apologize for misspelling both of your names. I’m sure) for opening my mind and teaching me about these incredible women!

Honestly, I wasn’t sure I would like this book especially the topic of Russian woman spy. However, I have to say I loved this book. I did not want to end. It’s just so fascinating. The story is well told the characters are well developed and it is an interesting aspect of World War II, to which I knew nothing about. The story is loosely based on real people and the story really opened my eyes.
I would highly recommend this enlightening 12 hour listen.

This is such a great story. Kristen Hannah has such a way with weaving together, history and life, and love and loss makes you learn and understand the relevance of the history in a way you simply can’t understand. Just facts and figures. When you become involved with these peoples lives, it makes the story so much more relevant and meaningful. Books like Kristen Hannah’s should be required reading for history classes all over the country. I’m sure that’s never gonna happen but I know I sure would’ve learned a lot more about history if I would have approached it through these sorts of stories.
This is the third book of hers. I have read and I found it a little harder to get into than the women and the four winds but I knew it would be great so I stuck with it and by about chapter 11 - I couldn’t stop listening I believe the reason I was so lost at the beginning is because I knew so little about the German occupation of France during World War II. But I sure have a much better understanding now at any rate it was really an awesome book. Thank you Kristen Hannah for writing this book.

I loved this book from beginning to end. The characters are real, the struggles, they face are relatable, and the narration is like a movie for your ears (although that is a line out of the book).

In my opinion, the character development is phenomenal. Each of the characters is flawed (like we all are), but the quirks are well-developed and explained.

So, if you are looking for a break from reality for 10 hours and you enjoy a nice love story that works out in the end. This is the book for you.

Honestly, I didn’t really think I was going to like this story because it’s about a 19 year old. And being in my late 50s I wasn’t sure I could really relate but actually it was a great story and I totally enjoyed it. It is almost like a continuation of the previous book. So if you haven’t read the book, the proceeds that I would read that before reading this one.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did I laughed out loud. I cried out loud and I was just so in chanted with this character Dima of course the narrator does an amazing job. It’s beyond me how she can do so many voices, but what’s your fun to listen to add highly recommend the story.

Each of the three stories was captivating interesting and had great character development. I found the females to be real people with real problems and real challenges. The stores are well written, thoughtful, insightful, and just fun. The voices make the stories so much better really just wonderful.

Just another awesome book by Corinne Michaels are. Of course I would recommend reading the first three books before you start this one but it’s a great book. It’s fun it’s light. It has well developed characters and it’s sweet.

For me, the first book started a little bit slow but after that, it was great. I really enjoyed each of the free books. I was a little concerned they might feel redundant, but they were not at all, and it was just so enjoyable. The character development was really great because the characters reappear in each book.
Such a joy!!
