Historia
With an agoraphobic mother and a barely-there father, Sang abhors the isolation keeping her in the shadows. The only thing Sang craves is a fresh start and to be accepted as ordinary by her peers, because for her being different meant being cast out alone. When her family moves to a new school district, Sang infiltrates a group of boys nearly perfect in every way.

Lovely
Revisado: 04-19-21
This book was a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend for anyone that wants a little mystery and a little teen drama. I really enjoyed this narrator but it would be neat if there was a male narrator to read the boys voices. Throughout the book the boys all started to sound alike and had the same accents which sometimes made it confusing. Otherwise, a lovely read!

Bound Spirit Review
Revisado: 03-24-21
This book was wonderful. The author did a fantastic job giving each male character their own personality that is very distinct. Often we find in rh books that the males bleed together into one possessive whole with no other personality traits. It’s truly nice to read a book where the men are not constantly bossing the main fc around and are willing to allow her to tell her story at her own pace. The level of respect these men have is lovely.
I also would like to applaud the author on writing such an amazing female lead. Rh books are known for having a doormat female lead that comes from an abused past and is “saved” by a group of men.
Unlike other rh books, this one had a female lead with a realistic response to the abuse she has suffered. I particularly liked the depth in which the author shows us how Callie gets lost in her own head when a memory comes up. I know from my own experience my friends will wait five minutes or more before I am able to come out of a memory. The scene where Callie was catatonic was absolutely amazing. The boys, though they haven’t known her long, remind me of my friends where if I’ve had an episode they refuse to leave my side. Callie, like myself, suffers from having always had to deal with issues on our own. The fact that the boys asked to stay allows her to remain in the comfort zone if not asking for help but also being shown that the boys are not going to abandon her. It is refreshing that this female lead refuses to give up and is finally understanding what it’s like to have people care. She is strong and independent, and though she struggles with her past she doesn’t let it stop her or let the boys push her around.
I would recommend this book to anyone with a love for the supernatural and well written characters. The first book is mainly a way for the readers to get acquainted with the characters and world. I feel that I am now ready to face the challenges presented in the second book because I am comfortable with the relationships and specifics of this books world.
As a final thought, the male audiobook narrator tends to speak rather monotonously. Though, he does attempt to give different voices to each male character.
