A great story

These novels with Pierce Hunt as the protagonist are excellent! They are on par with the Mitch Rapp series and the Gray Man series. I can’t recommend this novel and a previous one anymore highly. They are great novels to listen to and to be entertained by. The narrator is excellent as well and enjoy listening to him.

Fantastic Novel

Wow! You’ll find such great writing and narration in this novel! Everything about it is superb. I can’t recommend it any higher. His first narrative was superb as well. I look forward to listening to all of his books in the future and can’t wait until everyone comes out.

Too Much Anti-Russian Propaganda

I must say that I was a little surprised at the amount of anti-Russian propaganda that pervades this book. The very context with which the book ends reveals a subconscious desire to reveal what the book itself has done to the reader regarding providing fake news or narratives as real and true. I was disappointed, but on the other hand, I like the characters and the plot.

Another Disappointing Novel

Up until these last two novels, Daniel Silva was one of my absolute favorite novelists. His preoccupation with progressive ideas and grandstanding regarding leftist policies and positions are out of place and unnecessary. Why can’t we just enjoy the former Gabriel Allon? Why do we need a leftist who has all of this progressivism attached to him and his daughter? I can’t tell you how disappointed these last two novels have been. I wish that he would leave all that garbage out and just write a good spy novel like he used to. He is all woke and it’s sad.

Amazing Novel

This book was amazing in every way! It has all the hallmarks of a thriller with character development that is absolutely superb. I recommend this book to those who enjoy in-depth character examinations, and growth.

Great Story!

Another great Peter Black novel! I thought the storyline was well developed, and there were enough twists and turns to keep you wandering, but never able to figure out how it would turn out. I recommend this book to those who enjoyed the first two. I’m a big fan of this writer and the narrator is excellent.

Very Interesting Story

I very much enjoyed the story, even though it was different from the others in the sense that the protagonist is more of a detective than a spy. The only negative thing I can think of is once again some examples of political progressivism that are unneeded and who wants to hear about wokeism anyway? I hardly think someone like Gabriel Allon would be the way he was portrayed politically here as in the previous novel, which would make you not want to believe that Gabriel Allon had any sense at all, especially since many of us knew who the real cheater, liar, and corrupt politician was in 2020! Current events only prove what some of us knew back then, even before the election.

Interesting

I love the stories surrounding that Matt Drake, and think his character is one of the best. All of the novels that I have listened to up to this point I have enjoyed as well. The one thing that I didn’t enjoy so much about this novel is that it presented an Propagandist, mainstream news (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Fox News), view of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. I cut the author some slack though because this is fiction after all. This novel doesn’t claim to be authentic historical fiction. It’s just the times in which we live in 2023. Other than that, as usual, it was great.

Just Awesome!

The story was super good and a different side of Victor’s personality was developed. All the characters were really good, and as usual, the narrator is incredibly talented. I recommend this book highly to those who enjoy this genre.
