The characters grow realistically

The character interactions are believable in that most of them react the same way I would with others. Relationships slowly build to a point where you actually care about what happens to them next. The authors narration is good. Too many good books are sullied by a poor narrator. I'm almost done with this one. and look forward to the next.

Good follow up to the series.

The reader does a very good job of conveying emotion in the story. I thought some of her voices of male characters were a bit rough. But those were short and minor and didn't impact the story in any negative way.

One of my favorites!

This book was initially given to me by a friend. Little did I know at the time how much I'd come to love it. I've been checking for audio versions for years. Imagine my shock when I finally saw it. Even better, the reader did an excellent job. too many great books have been butchered by bad narration.

Decent overall but, as with most Star Trek audio, it is abridged. That is my only issue with this. The story was good. As was the voice talent and sound effects. But lit eft me wanting more content that no doubt was edited out for audio.

One of my favorites, but...

This is one of those books I have that i have read a hundred times and still love. I jumped at the chance to hear it on audio. While the story is good the reader was somewhat deadpan. No sense of emotion from the characters.
